You know I think six or seven months in one place is the longest I have stayed anywhere besides home. Almost forgot what it was like, traveling to new places and running around them. It was kinda nice.

Not that I don't think this town is neat. Just feels like it took a long time getting here.

[ as usual, Ryudamon and Renamon are close by. and Ryudamon isn't going to let that one go. ]

That would be because you felt like you had to explore everything you could get your hands on.

[ Vixie gives Ryu a little nudge and the dragon makes a face. ]

Well I didn't mind it. I wanted to stay at Tree-Top Isle longer. You wouldn't let us go down.

For good reason! Someone has to be the responsible one here.

[ Sora and Vixie both break out laughing while the other digimon grumbles and tries to contain his grin. after it dies down, Sora gets his arms around his partners' shoulders, looking at the camera. ]

Anyway. We're here now. So I feel like I should catch up with the people that got here ahead of us. We should do something!

There's lots of open road around HospiTown, and lots of ground to explore outside of that.

When I get my alt-form [Because he wants to think it's 'when' he gets it, not 'if' he gets it] the only place you'll see other cars is in the rear view mirror.

Man... I'd feel sorry for the person that challenge you to a race.

Yup. Sure is a lot of laughing now going on. He totally gets that competitive attitude. ]

[Sora's laughter prompts a few quiet chuckles from Bee. He settles down some, his mood lifted. Thanks, kid.]

I miss my other half, but if we play our cards right and fix this place, I won't miss it for too long.

Hopefully you aren't missing anything too terribly while you're here in the digital world, Sora.

Just my friends. This is probably the longest I have been separated from them.

[ the year doesn't count. he had been asleep. ]

Yeah. Like I know they are with me no matter where I go ...

Bu it would be nice to SEE them.

[He thinks back to their earlier conversation.]

Kairi and Riku, was it?

Yeah, the two from back home anyway.

What are they like?

Pfft where to start...

Riku's older than Kairi and me. He and I have known each other since before I can remember. Riku's the type of guy that's pretty much good at whatever he decides to do. Tall. Broad shoulders. [ totally not like Sora, okok. ] Kinda likes to tease me. For a long time he was a little arrogant too, and never passed up a challenge. We'd decide things based on who would win a round on the obstacle course. Anymore, though, he's not this prideful sort of guy. Whatever happened while I was out for a year must've really changed him. Now he's a lot softer spoken - still teasing but the look in his eyes when he does it is completely different than before. Always trying to prove he's worthy or something like that. I don't get it.

But what he is? Passionate. Riku wants to do what's right. He's brave and willing to do whatever it takes to make up for some silly mistakes he's made and protect Kairi and me. The guy will risk himself to make sure we're all right. I can always trust him to have my back. Honestly? I can't think of any other person that I can call my best friend.

[ give him a moment and he'll get to Kairi. ]

[Bumblebee makes no move to interrupt Sora. Once he gets going, Bumblebee just rests his elbow on the table, his chin on his hand. And he listens.

There's a fondness and excitement in Sora's voice that seems to intensify the longer he goes on. It's like he's just been waiting for the moment someone asked about his friends. Best friends.]

And Kairi...

[ man what does he even say about the girl he's had a crush on. how do you do things like that? ]

She's not originally from the islands. Doesn't matter to us really. I think she's pretty much the reason why Riku and I wanted to explore other words. There's really not a bad thing you could say about her at all. Like, you might be able to look for something, but you're not going to find anything. At most, she can be a little scary with some of her frowning and threats. Like, when she told me I had to bring her charm back, I pretty much felt like she'd skin me alive if I didn't.

[ little, nervous laugh. yeeeeeahhhh... Kairi can be scary, but she's really a sweet person. ]

Kairi's really friendly too. She makes friends just as easily as I do. Even though she was happy on the islands, she wanted to go with me and Riku anyway. She's kind of selfless like that - wanting to be with friends and enjoying their happiness. Kairi believes in people. Trusts them. I think that there's a part of her that can see people, you know? Like see them how they are, not what they look like or what they say or all of the stuff like that which can just be too confusing. Maybe that goes with being a heart of pure light, I dunno. She's brave and strong. Kairi doesn't really need to fight like Riku and me... She has a completely different way of being strong - not that she couldn't fight. Bet she could if she set her mind to it.

[ fond, so fond. 8T ]

I ow her and Riku a lot. They're not just my friends, but they are people who make me who I am. Without Kairi, I'd probably still be a Heartless. Without Riku... I probably wouldn't be me anymore.

[Bee has always found humans fascinating. But what he's especially found comforting was the fact that their relationships could so closely mirror that of Cybertronians. A spark could understand a heart, and vice versa. He could probably listen to Sora go on and on about his friends, if only because it reminded him of close bonds of his own.]

I can see why your world's in safe hands.

[After all, if Sora was the type of person who could save his world, Riku and Kairi were the type to help him do even more. Though, he straightens as Sora finishes his description. He hears an unfamiliar term that makes him tilt his head in confusion.]

Did you say 'heart less'?

If like to think it is. Between the three of us and all of the people we've made friends with, we're bound to save everyone.

[ you know, he has gotten so used o explaining this stuff... But what's one more explanation. ]

A Heartless is a creature I darkness that steals hearts. When someone loses their heart, they become a Heartless.

[SORA! How can you even say something so casually. Losing's one spark is synonymous with death.]

You lost your heart?!
