002 - Second Flight [Action/Accidental Video]
[Though during the parade Hiccup had been dragged around a bit more than he would have liked, he's been getting restless lately. He's not really used to being cooped up inside so much, but the city is still a lot to take in. Compared to the forests and mountains of Berk this was a big change. Of course Gomamon insisted that he was just overreacting, but the viking is really suffering from a bit of culture shock.
So, fed up with being stuck in the apartment while everyone else was off doing who-knows-what, he wrenched one of the drawers near his bed open and reached his hand around inside until he found a pencil and a pad of paper. Even these simple tools- compared to charcoal and parchment- were foreign to him.
It's just a short walk down a few flights of stairs to get down to the street, and once he makes it outside he heads down the sidewalk for a block or so with Gomamon riding on his shoulders. Then, finding the nearest bench, he sits down and pulls Gomamon off, setting him on the bench beside him so he can hold the pad of paper in his lap.
And what does he do?
Immediately he starts drawing, his hand moving quickly to rough out a sketch before moving to make the lines darker in places as needed. Gomamon tilts his head with a frown, noticing that Hiccup is glancing over at him every now and then before looking back at the paper. In almost no time at all, Gomamon finds himself looking at a picture of his own likeness in the notebook, nearly perfectly rendered with all of the acquatic digimon's features down to the exact detail.
That done, he then brushes some eraser shavings away before beginning to write the oddest looking symbols above and around the picture. It doesn't look anything remotely close to English, or Japanese even- rather an old language unfamiliar to anyone but himself.
Of course, neither Hiccup or Gomamon notice that his D-Terminal fell from his belt onto the bench, turning on accidentally.]

[Hiccup moves the D-Terminal up a little so Gomamon doesn't get agitated and suddenly try taking a swing at it. He would rather not be stuck without a way to communicate, thanks.]
As....nice as those suggestions are, Tapirmon, I think it would be better if I just left my drawing black and white. It's easier for me to see it that way.
[Actually, he's not sure why he's doing this in the first place. He barely knows anything about Digimon in general yet, so why on earth would he be thinking about trying to write up a manual of the digimon he's encountered?
...maybe he'll just keep on drawing pictures of them.]
[I mean, who WOULDN'T want a green and bright blue Gomamon?]
It's okay, I'll just draw my own. I'll call him, um... BetterGomamon!
[Hiccup sighs heavily through his nose, because Gomamon seems to be having quite a hard time not jumping down Tapirmon's throat right about now. He's prepared to just end the feed if he has to. The little Digimon seems...younger than most, somehow. Or at least a bit more innocent than a lot of others he's encountered.]
If I colored all of the pictures I plan on drawing in this notebook, I probably wouldn't finish any time soon.
Hiccup's just lazy.]
I can do it for you, it's really easy!
..How 'bout when I draw you into my notebook, Tapirmon, I let you color yourself. How's that sound?
[Because he does plan to draw in ever digimon he meets, for future reference.]
You really mean it?!
You can even color yourself green, if you want.
[Don't mind Gomamon just giving you a look of 'WHY ENCOURAGE HIM', Hiccup.]
I am trying to sleep!!
PFFFTTAAHAHA!! Nice one!
[Arcee grabs the Terminal and gives a sleepy look into the camera. Obviously she's not looking her best, but she's been napping so it's expected.]
What are we complaining about now?
I was just getting some fresh air.
