[When the video feed pops on there's static at first, followed by a shaky closeup of a deep red jacket. The picture stops moving and the red jacket backs up revealing a young girl with brown hair. She bows to the camera, her hands clasped in front of her.]

Hello, everyone. My name is Jinora, and I've just arrived here. My lion-spirit Leormon says that this is the best way to communicate with people.

[A Leormon's head pops into the frame, regarding the camera before turning to Jinora.]

Digimon, Jinora. We're Digimon, not spirits.

Digimon; right. I'm sorry. Anyway, I've read about what's been happening here and Leormon has told me a lot as well. It- it's all a bit overwhelming, but I'll do my best to help in whatever way that I can.

(After a few moments of static, the screen focuses on what appears to be yellow goggles, and soon enough Takato's offering a smile and a light laugh.)

Hi! Welcome to the Digital World; I'm Takato and if you've read up on what happened then I'll do my best to help once you've settled in. It's nice to meet you Jinora, and your partner Leormon! Ha, my partner Guilmon's around somewhere eating bread but I'll see if he can get in touch with you too.

It's nice to meet you as well, Takato.

...What kind of bread does he have?

Leormon, that isn't very polite!

Haha, no that's fine! I've got different kinds of bread, but when I find the chance to I get busy working on making Guilmon bread; it's shaped like my partner's head.

Is it as big as your partner's head?

[In the background, Jinora may be trying to stifle a giggle or two.]

(Takato's laughing a little himself, giving it a moment of thought as well.)

Almost, but not quite. Lately I've been trying to make the heads of other Digimon for different kinds of bread.

(Not to mention, different kinds of filling.)

So...you're a baker, then?

Ha, actually my parents are bakers but I'm learning from them. My room's above the bakery.

There's a bakery here?

(Oops.)

Heh, I'm not sure. I meant back in my world, my parents run a bakery!

[giggles] Sorry about that; I didn't mean to confuse you.

(A beat.) Jinora, you mentioned something about 'lion-spirits?' Are they part of your world?

[she grins] Yes, but only recently. Normally the spirits stayed in the spirit world, but now that Avatar Korra decided to keep the portals open they can come and go in my world as they please.

Really? That's incredible...! There's no way people from my world would allow Digimon to roam freely, since a lot of them would do whatever they wanted even if we kept them under control.

(He's sure she can tell 'whatever they want' translates to random destruction and chaos. Takato also makes a mental note to prepare a few loaves of Guilmon bread for Jinora and her partner asap.)

It's still a relatively new thing. But Korra says that spirits and humans lived together before thousands of years ago, so hopefully they can manage it again.

What's Korra like? She sounds like someone really special.

She is. Korra's the Avatar, the only person in my world that can bend all four elements and who keeps peace and balance between the four nations.

The Avatar...? (A beat, along with a smile before:) She sounds fantastic!

Mm-hmm. [Jinora nods] She's part of my family, in a way, even though she's not a blood relative.

Part of your family...?

That's fantastic! But if Korra's not your sister, then is she your cousin?

[trying to stifle a giggle] Actually, she's my grandfather.

(The expression on his face should have her giggling for a while.)

...Y-your Grandfather?!

[Giggling? Try outright laughing; after seeing his expression she can't keep it in.]

I-in a way. [finally manages to get her laughter under control] Korra is the reincarnation of the previous Avatar, who was my grandfather Aang.

(Takato will resemble a tomato -or possibly an apple, whatever kind of fruit grows in Jinora's world- for some time.)

O-Oh...! That's great. Reincarnation?

Yes. The Avatar cycle began 10,000 years ago when Raava, the Spirit of Light and Peace, fused with a man named Wan so that they could defeat Vaatu, the Spirit of Darkness and Chaos. After imprisoning Vaatu Wan devoted the rest of his life to trying to maintain peace and balance between the four nations. Raava was permanently bonded to Wan's spirit, so when he died and moved onto his next life Raava was reborn with him. That way Wan's - the Avatar's - work could continue.

Wow...! It's kinda like what happens to Digimon here. They don't really die, they just become Digieggs and are reborn again but with all their memories.

(He's only heard stories, but not many about Chosen suffering the same experience.)

Really?

Mm-hmm. It's true.
