[She frowns.] You may have been made for someone else...but the fact that you're here...that you're not him...means that you have a life of your own.

Our Digimon...our first partners...are like that too. They're all a piece of the "real" Digimon, broken off and taken from them..."imperfect" models of what the "real" Digimon should have been.

But that doesn't matter, does it? The fact that they're supposedly just a fragment of other Digimon doesn't make them any less real, any less important, does it? They're a piece of those Digimon...but they're not those Digimon. Not anymore. They are their own living creature, with their own thoughts and feelings, different from the models they were taken from.

But they all still deserve a chance to live...because they're already alive. And it's the same for you as well.
