[It's a video. Terra's somewhere outside of HospiTown by the forest in the background; it's late but not so late where he can't be easily seen. He looks like he hasn't been sleeping well, but otherwise alert.]

Hey there. I don't know most of you and most of you don't know me, so ... I'm Terra. I've been told in some detail we're here to save this place, and I intend to get to it.

['Now', apparently.]

Minervamon said she'd be leaving more detailed information later on, but for now I know we need to find Titamon and find the ARCloner as some first steps. It's a lot better than nothing to work with at all, but this world's a lot larger--

[A lot larger than most worlds he's been to. He can't say that, and continues after a moment of thought.]

--Than I expected. There's a lot of ground to cover. So I'm hoping to find some people willing to do some traveling. ...A lot of traveling actually. And willing to share what they find when they're traveling with everyone else. If anyone out there's got experience with uh, scouting, reconnaissance, that sort of thing, and willing to help, I'd like to hear from you.

[It's pretty clear Terra's not used to doing this sort of thing, it's all pretty awkwardly stated, with a bit of fidgeting here and there too, but he manages to stay pretty calm. This was a thing he was sure would help. Now if he could find enough people willing to help..]

[It takes Terra a while to figure out the text option for this thing, probably with Dorumon's help. And then it takes a little while longer to actually get a text-based response out. Maybe the person responding couldn't respond to video for some reason! He's obliging enough at least.]

You're a mech? That's useful! I didn't know sapient AI existed in the digital world, beyond the digimon themselves.

If you're volunteering then I'll happily put you to work. There's a lot to do, I think, and who knows how much time there is to get it done in. You're trained in recon, or is it more of a hobby thing?

[There's a small laugh, and Ringabel soon raises his hand in a greeting.]

I jest. Anyway, unless you're all full up, I'll be able to lend a hand. Have we any possible locations for this equipment, or...?

Proper etiquette says he should have offered his name anyway!! But he didn't! And now he's not sure what to do about it. Certainly, he remembers Ringabel, you just don't forget one of the first people you met on a world.

... He wonders how the chat went with Biyomon; Dorumon told him about their conversation.]

Hardly full-up. I'm not sure this is something you can get too many people for. ... And not even remotely, actually, which is part of the reason why I'm looking for people with some experience with scouting or at least a really strong sense of wanderlust.

[Wander around, send information back if something useful's found.. it made sense to Terra.]

[Given the choice, he'd be using video or audio to communicate. Unfortunately, the story behind why he can't is a long one filled with unpleasant details.]

[Bumblebee realizes his mistake. He's still not used to this body. (He isn't about to get used to calling himself human though. Because if they play their cards right? They can fix this in due time and he can go back to being about 16 feet tall and being significantly less squishy.)]

Sorry. Force of habit. I'm human here, but I wasn't always. I was a robot where I come from. Different body maybe, but my processor's still got all the same circuits.

And I've got the necessary training, sir. I'm currently ranked Warrior class, but I've served as a Scout since the beginning of the War. It's something of a specialty.

[This world forced people to conform to its norms, then. He's heard of it, been warned by Master Eraqus that some worlds simply rejected someone's natural form and reshaped it to better suit its own nature. There was a world of lions..

It must be quite a learning curve for you then, being in a new body and a new world.

No need for 'sir', I don't hold any rank anywhere. Terra works well enough for me! But it sounds like you've got more than enough experience for what I'm looking for, that's great. I don't think we're technically at war yet, but depending on whether or not this Titamon fellow gathers up some supporters we might be sooner or later.

[There's a pause before he finishes the message. Robots didn't need to rely on verbal speech the way humans did...]

Quite all right. I wasn't in any correct shape to even realize, truth be told. Anyway! Terra, I am Ringabel. Pleasure to meet you, and all that.

[The chat went preeeeeettyy badly. But! It's not like Ringabel knows about Biyomon asking public consensus on his personal life first, so of course he's unsuspecting. His eyes wander from the camera for a moment, and return to it. They're focused, almost sharpened.]

Consider yourself lucky, I've both in abundance, among a few other talents. Regardless - before I'll offer my services, (should you wish to take advantage of them) I'd quite like to know what Minervamon wishes to do with this device and this other digimon. I'm afraid that if her plan is to bring harm to anyone or anything using them - I'm out.

[He has to be clear on that.]

[He's a little proud of this first part:] Autobots like me are known for their adaptability. It's how we've survived this long.

[But he would have appreciated a crash course, that's for sure. His first week was a ridiculous trial by fire, figuring out all the ways that his human body was infinitely more fragile than his own Cybertroninan form.]

No war yet, but I'm told that the more powerful digimon are showing up with more frequency these days. Might be a sign of things to come.

And don't worry. If you're human, my name is right up your alley. My name's Bumblebee. Not too bad, right?

I'll be sure to keep that in mind. Experience is something we can all use about now.

I've heard similar. I suspect if we don't begin pushing our own training and not just waiting around for something to happen, we'll be in for a whole parcel of trouble soon.

[Training was one thing he can actually do with reliable certainty of not somehow botching it. Terra took some comfort in that. He might have failed at every other task before him ... but training, that he can do.]

Like the insect? That's pretty easy, yeah. I was expecting something a lot more electronic, honestly, but Bumblebee's just fine.

Are you currently in HospiTown?

It was a bit of a rough transition, huh. I guess we all have to deal with it in some form at first..

[Terra still was. Probably so was Ringabel. He's not going to dwell on it long, apparently.]

I can't speak for Minervamon's intentions, and I don't work for her. My intentions are my own: save this world, with as minimal damage to it and us as possible. If the ARCloner is part of the reason things are going haywire then it's still important we find it, and shut it off or hide it away or something. If Titamon is as I've been told, then he's likely the cause of this mess.

[Terra crosses his arms over his chest, gaze averted, expression neutral.]

I want help. But I don't want people who'll be second-guessing everything we do from 'go' because something might happen that isn't as we planned or hoped. Doubt is a poison that'll kill us off as fast as anything could.

[A chuckle, if he could.] I considered Autonomous-Robomech, but that doesn't roll off the tongue as well as Bumblebee.

[Truth be told, Bee's been itching to meet others like himself. He's never one to sit around and wait if he can help it. Everything that Terra is saying has been weighing on his mind for some time now. It's a relief to hear someone else say it out loud.]

By the way? If Audio or Video suits you better than text, then by all means. Use what makes you comfortable.

I'm in the area. As for a rendezvous, if you want to meet up, we can make it happen. Though there'd be some complications.

'Autonomous-Robomech' would need a bit of practice. And I'd probably ask if there's a shorter version. Bumblebee is much nicer.

[Easier. He can admit it's just easier.]

I'm alright with text. This sort of technology is a bit beyond what we had back home, but I can use the practice. It's not going to just go away because I don't know how to use it.

I'd actually intended to ask you if you might have seen anything interesting on the way here; I assumed there was a reason you wanted to use writing instead.

Different worlds aren't really a big secret or anything. Kinda doesn't matter if you keep that part to yourself or not. Most of my friends here already know about me and what I do.

Not much of interest aside from some abandoned buildings at the edge of town, the hospital, the cafe and general store. HospiTown's mostly just been a meeting hub for a lot of the refugees who were forced out of Tokyo. I'm meeting up with my team here too, but I'm not sure where we'll head next.

[And how to explain... Just quick, and fast is probably best.]

I was damaged in a fight many, many years ago. The transition to an organic body complicated things. The D-terminal is the most efficient way for me to communicate with others.

[Talking isn't an option. And now the reason why he brings it up:]

If we're ever in the field together in a dangerous situation, I won't be able to verbally communicate.

[Like if Bee spots a dangerous threat, Bee wouldn't be able to warn Terra. His digimon might pick up on his gestures, or feel his panic in time to say something, but he can't count on that.]

[The video camera is given a long, measuring stare, as Terra weighs how to respond to this in a way that isn't the immediate impulse that suggested itself.]

If it doesn't matter to you, that's fine.

[But it matters to him. He could keep at least one of his Master's instructions, when he'd botched so many others.]

But if you wanna go looking around, I'm game. Ryu can fly and stuff, so it won't take as long to travel.

[There's another of those long pauses in any sort of a response; probably Terra wants to think about it before responding. Interspecies communication was sometimes easy but there's always the worry of not getting it quite right.]

So the damage that happened in your other form stuck when you came here. You're mute. Are your senses impaired any as well, or just your voice?

[That could be problematic, but a digimon partner could alleviate a lot of it. They could at least speak, likely. ... Did Bumblebee 'talk' to his own partner through text messages?]

I have an idea or two for that, if you're willing to possibly learn hand-sign. It won't be perfect but most of the time in scouting situations talking isn't really an option anyway.

[It just means keeping a sharper eye out. Nothing they can't learn to adapt to. Or giving Bumblebee some form of ... whistle. An alarm doesn't need to be detailed, after all, and panic buttons tend to just be shrill and noisy.]

Hey, speaking of your team. Are they going to be okay with it, if I'm asking you to pass along information you catch wind of? I didn't think about other people's traveling companions.

My Master gave us very specific instructions when we first left. I'm not going to break them just because some kid says I shouldn't worry about it. If that's 'uptight' then bring on being uptight.

[He looks and sounds briefly annoyed, but either he has really good control over his expressions or Terra doesn't let it get under his skin much.]

How good is your eyesight from cruising altitude? Or Ryu's? Could you spot something interesting on the ground, from the air?

[There's no sense this is looking for some excuse to punch a hole in Sora's offer, just an assessment of what Sora and his partner might be able to do. If they can manage, while at altitude, then it might be better than walking. But if too much is lost in the air..]

Hey... I'm not a "kid." I've saved lots of worlds, closed off the Keyholes so the Heartless couldn't get to them... Helped stop a guy from making a fake Kingdom Hearts and helped wake up sleeping worlds. I'm not a kid.

[ yeah... okay. Sora huffs a little. that's kind of something that's been a long time coming, and only because of HOW it's said. being called "kid" affectionately is one thing. being called it like THAT is another and Sora is, you know. a LITTLE tired of it. he's done lots of things! Been in lots of battles! ]

But um. Ryu's eyesight is good. So is Vixie's.

[Terra's eyebrows rise sharply.]

Last time we talked, you called yourself 'just a kid', and you were really emphatic about it. Pick one. Either you are, or you're not.

[He points this out evenly, as if it's not really a big deal. Maybe it isn't, to him; the rant doesn't seem to really get a lot of notice beyond that.

I'd like to put their eyesight to the test. Not that they probably don't have perfectly good vision but knowing what they're capable of means finding out on purpose.

There's a difference. "Some kid" kind of says you don't think much of me and what I can do. It's true that I'm just a kid that stumbled onto this kind of by accident. That doesn't mean I can't handle myself, you know. It doesn't mean I don't know what I'm doing either. Writing me off isn't cool. I don't mean to snap either... I've just been getting that a lot ever since I've been here and it's just getting frustrating.

I didn't say it did. Just that from a perspective of a stranger, it'd be really stupid to throw away established rules because someone you just met said it's not important. You're reading a lot into this.

Who do you have normally putting you down, that you get so defensive so fast?

[There had to be some reason. Maybe Sora had no confidence in his abilities, if he had to declare them every time someone called him a kid. He should know by now that age doesn't mean a lot by way of capability.]

And your friends are just as defensive. Not everything is a personal attack or insult.

[Something Terra should keep in mind.]

If there's some way or method I'm supposed to use to know what you're capable of without actually finding out, Ryu, please tell me. I must have missed it, or Dorumon didn't note it yet.

[It's accepted as a possibility without blinking. Maybe these digivice things did have some sort of database that listed all the capabilities of each digimon, he certainly hadn't gone looking! It would make things a lot easier though..]

Unless you've wearing a Decepticon brand? My team won't have a problem with exchanging a information. They'll be kept in the loop. Besides, we can't solve this problem on our own. It's going to take teamwork to fix this.

[That and he'd keep an airtight lid on any information he felt would jeopardize his team, anyway.]

Speaking of which, you've gotten to know me a little. Your turn. You seem to get on pretty well in unfamiliar territory.

[Very adaptable! And so far nothing Terra couldn't figure out how to work around, which was even better. This matter of decepticons wasn't going to be a problem, since if he had no idea what they were he couldn't be wearing one! ... Probably. He takes a moment, out in the woods, to make sure his clothes haven't picked up a new mark. Just in case.

Dorumon helps. It's a good six or seven minutes before there's a response, after they're satisfied he's not been suddenly branded or something.]

It must have been difficult to get used to fighting as an organic too. We're not exactly as tough as metal.

As far as I can tell (and we checked!) I'm not wearing any brands at all, so that should be just fine. If your team's onboard with this too, then all the better. I agree; the more we have I think the better off we'll be. At the very least to have people to watch our backs.

[Terra knew the value of teamwork. He was loathe to put others at risk but ... if he had a couple people to rely on maybe he'd be able to protect them better. If he's not worrying about getting a knife in the back..]

Well. I can't say I was trained as a scout or fought in any wars, but this sort of thing is something that's gone into my apprenticeship for a few years. You could say I've been in training to be a troubleshooter and problem-solver. Normally I wouldn't qualify for this sort of a mission yet but I didn't have much choice in coming here.

Hello Terra, I'm Yang. You can count me in for any adventures you want to have. I actually wanted to do more traveling before I found out I had to get here to meet up with some teammates.

[She may have only just arrived recently, but Yang is the type looking for fun or fights or both. Traveling at least promises that much.]

I can even see if I can get my friends to come along, but even if they don't I'd be more than happy to go out on my own.
