[ you know, with some of the things that has happened over the last few days and whatever, Sora HAD thought that it'd be a good idea to spend some time with his partners. camping and stuff.

but the only thing that can be seen at the moment would be the trees. ]

[ yeah, that is Sora. can be heard, but not seen yet. Ryu picks up the D-T and it appears that Vixie has a Wormmon in her arms, looking up. ]

I'm not even going to ask, Sora.

[ while Ryu is actually LAUGHING, he turns so everyone can see. suspended in the air is ( 1 ) Sora, all tangled up in what looks to be webbing... wiggling around for the camera, it's obvious that he's pretty stuck. ]

Ha ha... You can get me down ANY time now.

And ruin the entertainment value? After you destroyed this poor Wormmon's home? I think not.

You can't leave me up here!!!! [ and looking right at the D-T: ] Someone? Pleeeease!?

[Terra turns up sooner rather than later at least, with Dorumon and Dracmon in tow. The latter digimon had never encountered these two, and takes the opportunity to settle to one side and observe, not far from Vixie and Ryu and the Wormmon. With her hands. Hands with eyes in them.

It still creeped Dorumon out a bit, honestly.

But for a few minutes, as the replica works on freeing BOTH of them and Sora dangles there like a brown haired christmas ornament, Terra just surveys the situation. What a mess.

It's kind of funny. He's not going to laugh. But he wished he could take a picture.]

Try to stop moving around, you'll just get tangled worse. I'll have you down in a minute.

[That went for both of them! It seems in spite of being a fairly big guy Terra's just fine at climbing trees, because he's up in no time flat. Dorumon observes this for several moments, waiting for a little more space before likewise picking his way up, using claws instead of hand-grips.]

HOW did you guys manage this? Why were you in a wormmon web to begin with??

You sure you won't get stuck like the rest of us?

[Then again, Terra's a bigger guy. Heavy enough to possibly fall straight through the web. Maybe they don't have to worry about it after all.

As for Dorumon's question, the Replica makes a sound somewhere between a growl and a sigh, pointing his elbow at Sora.]

Couldn't tell you about Sora, but I got stuck trying to rescue him. ...It backfired.

[ Sora sighs, just ready to be down. it's a little hard not to move around when told not to, but looks like he can refrain... but for how long? it's a mystery? ]

I needed to get something from towards the top of the tree... A branch snapped, okay?

[ so maybe he hadn't been careful enough. ]

I'm sure. Sticky webs usually have some lines that aren't sticky, so the thing that made them doesn't get stuck in their own silk.

[It's just a matter of finding those particular lines and hanging onto those. And then cutting everything into tiny pieces at the first opportunity. Sticky things were agitating.]

Well, there's something to be said about going out on a limb for a friend, Aiden. It might have backfired but you tried.

If you're doing that on purpose, I am going to bite you as soon as I get up there.

[Terra pauses. Somewhere over the last few minutes he'd managed to get a knife in hand, but it doesn't keep him from glancing back at Dorumon as the digimon carefully settles on the branch as well and begins tugging on the strands tied to the tree directly.]

Doing what?

[No, it's not important right now. What is: Cutting every link that seems tethered to Sora and the replica without destroying the whole thing. Finding non-sticky strands helps there. There's probably going to be a somewhat nauseating downward jolt every time one is cut through. But if he can help it they just won't freefall, which might be why he takes the time to settle on his branch a little more securely and wind several of the strands cut free around one wrist. Two kids are easy enough to hold up.

This isn't going to take long, apparently.]

... Nevermind! What was at the top of the tree, Sora?

...Terra, even if it's not intentional, those puns are just bad.

[But on the upside? He's laughing-- seems Terra's dorkiness has served as a momentary distraction from the awkwardness of the situation. Better yet, he's at least trying to hold still while Terra cuts away. The abrupt joking makes him wince a few times, but he trusts Terra to take care of this.

Besides, it's not like he can't handle a few falls, worse come to worse.]

They are kinda bad, huh?

[ Sora chuckles at this. sure it's awkward and a little embarrassing to be caught like this, but oh well. it's in the past and they are going to be coming down soon. not like anyone is going to judge them forever for this, right? and thankfully, Sora is in the mindset not to move around too much either.

It was my fault. He went up to help me get down because I was scared.

[ yes, yes that is the Wormmon answering for Sora. ;D ]

[Terra does not have a sense of humor. People should know this! That simple fact doesn't keep him from working on cutting the sticky strings keeping the two up. Dorumon works on biting free the strands that are horizontal, and in short time there's a brief lurch as the final strings are cut, but Sora and the replica aren't dropped.

Apparently he's precisely as strong as he looks; two skinny kids is easy to hang onto. And then they're simply set down. It requires a whole lot of balancing on Terra's end but he manages it.

From there, just a matter of cutting the stuff off them on the ground.]

..Really? Why?

[Maybe heights. Wormmons didn't look exactly set up for handling long drops..]

[...Whew. That was a close one. For a second, the Replica was afraid they'd end up crashing into the dirt. Sure, some of the strands are still stuck to him, but it's a definite improvement.

While he waits for Terra to get down, he'll work on shaking off as much thread as he can.]

Seems kind of strange to build a web up high, if you're gonna start panicking. Wouldn't it be easier to build it in a bush or something?
