About before I got here? Oh boy, I'll give the Cliff's Notes.
So, apparently in my version of Earth, a few people get the chance to come back to life after they die. Only one can make it a Game, and it lasts 7 days. During those days everyone has to partner up, kinda like here, and complete challenges for points. If you get enough you get to be brought back. If you don't you get the chance to either play again or become onr of the Reapers running the place. Assuming you're not Erased during the Game itself, cuz there are plenty of things trying to kill you.
Most people only run through it once, but apparently my Game was a big cheat and I was just the Composer's, the guy running the whole thing, play piece in a whole different game. So I ended up running through the damned thing 3 times. I just finished my.... last game when I showed up here. A friend of mine from home told me I apparently DID win and was on my way back when I came here. So I guess maybe I'm only... half dead? I dunno, I couldn't tell the exact moment things did or didn't switch over. I was kinda shot at the time.
