Even if it works, it can still be upgraded. Look, the gun motif is hampering its efficiency. Straighten the handle and keep the trigger, that will minimize wrist damage... A vibrating blade doesn't need to be that thick, you can reduce the weight of the blade that way to make it swing faster. You could probably store batteries for a motor in the grip and use that to ditch the gun look entirely. Assuming you're married to the idea of a sword and not wanting an actual projectile weapon.
