Mission 5: Renewed memories and rusted bonds.

*Dante is strangely absent from this video, but Coronamon appears to be sitting on the floor next to a bed. His tail is curled onto his lap and he seems to have been crying. In fact, he still hasn't gotten his sobs fully under control by the time he starts recording.*

Since...since a lot of you know Dante and are friends with him... *Sniff.* I should probably tell you. He's- *Gulp.* He's de- *Choke.* he's gone. It was...I think it was an accident, but... *Sniffle.* Humans don't turn into eggs, do they?

*He just nods, sitting back down against the side of the bed. That's all the response he'll be giving to that.*

[innermonologues]

[ Squall gets up and quickly leaves to go to Dante's place. He may not be a people person but apparently he was a Coronamon person.]

[hellspawnedhero]

*It takes Coronamon a little while to get to the door. He's still looking down at the floor when he opens it and sniffling sadly.*

[innermonologues]

[ Squall isn't too good at the comforting thing, but he's going to attempt? Attempt number one. he pulls off his jacket and puts it around Coronamon's shoulders. ]

[hellspawnedhero]

*It's way too big on him, but he pulls it around himself anyway.*

Thanks...do you want to come in?

[innermonologues]

.... Sure.

[ he reaches down to pet him but retracts his hand. Coronamon might not like that. He frowned a little though. Dante seemed so tough... but his brother must be tougher? He wasn't sure. ]

[hellspawnedhero]

*He turns around and shuffles inside, dragging his tail along the floor.*

[innermonologues]

[ He shuts the door behind him quietly. ]

Can I... get you something?

[hellspawnedhero]

*He shakes his head.*

H-he had juice and snacks in his room.

[innermonologues]

[ he frowns more and gives Coronamon another look before bending down to pick him up instead. ]

[hellspawnedhero]

*He rolls around to face Squall and curls up against his chest, grabbing onto his shirt with one paw.*

[innermonologues]

[ Squall tugs him closer and glances away. If the Digimon needs something to hold onto or cry into he didn't mind. He just didn't want to see him look so abandoned and hurt anymore. ]

It's okay...

[hellspawnedhero]

I digivolved...but I couldn't help him.

[innermonologues]

I dont think he would have liked the help. He wouldn't have wanted you to get hurt by trying.

[hellspawnedhero]

But I was supposed to protect him...

[innermonologues]

Sometimes... no matter how much you want to, it's just not possible to protect them.

[hellspawnedhero]

But I knew they were going to fight...I could have tried to stop them...

[innermonologues]

There's no way you could have stopped the fight. Once a fight begins it's like you get warped into a world all alone with that person. No one else is around nothing else is there. It's just you and that person and you fight. You fight with your all no matter what.

[hellspawnedhero]

But...why? They didn't even tell me why they were fighting, just that I would understand if I had a brother...

[ did'ya think Vergil had disappeared. ]

It was negligence.

[ because he should have remembered. ]

Sometimes they don't need a reason to fight. It just happens. An outlet.

[ he tenses up when he hears another voice and turns his head toward it. ]

On whos part though.

Then why real weapons? If you were just playing, why didn't you use fake ones?

[hellboundslayer]

[ he considers both questions. one he supposed deserves an answer. the other? what business is it of theirs why they'd opt for true weapons instead of fake ones? ]

Naturally the fault would lie with me, wouldn't it? I am the one that still remains.

[ when he puts it like that, he's not EXACTLY admitting that yes it is and yes, he does feel bad about it. ]

Barehands, weapons. It's all the same. The intensity flies and a spar can turn into an all out brawl. [ he pauses for a moment and frowns. ]

But he was warned and he realized himself that he was not the same as before.

[ He shifts Coronamon closer ]
