1st Hunt

[Some people might find it mildly frightening to arrive in a strange, pitch black world. Airachnid doesn't. There's a lot one can do in the darkness, a lot that one can get away with. Being turned organic is a huge annoyance, but one she knows she's going to have to live with. Might as well make a use of it, right? Still, it's odd being the same species as Jack.

Best make a good first impression, hmm? Airachnid smiles her best smile, her purple eyes glowing ominously in the dark, as she turns on her device. Time to greet this new and promising world. She'll go out and explore it later.

One might notice that there's a strange absence of any digimon.]

I confess, this is not a situation I ever could have imagined myself in. It's not what I'm used to, but it'll be an interesting challenge nontheless. For those interested, my name's Airachnid. For those who aren't, well, you know now anyway.

It's awfully dark here, is it not? I hope it's like this all the time.

[Something about hearing Arcee's voice sends a shiver of delight through her body. Her favourite target/plaything/whatever is here. It will be so satisfying to hunt her down, nail her to a wall, and slowly cut her down piece by piece. Of course, physical pain is not all there is, and not all Arcee deserves. Her good ol' foe is an Autobot, so she probably gets cozy with the locals.

It'll be an entertaining matter of hunting Arcee down and watching to see if there's anyone close to her. Ah, she can see it now: Arcee, helpless, watching as Airachnid gleefully, and slowly, tears apart a loved one. A wide grin appears as she fantasises about a familiar look of horror and hopelessness crossing the Autobot's face.

Suddenly, a whole world of possibilities opens up before her.

Airachnid is very eager to begin this game.]

Arcee.

I'm so glad you're here! It'd be an absolute bore otherwise.

Did you miss me?

[It's funny. Now that Airachnid is human, the usual fear that comes with a crazed spider woman that only lives to destroy everything you love just doesn't feel as intense as it once did. Those abilities she once had? Gone. There's no way she can ensnare her in her disgusting web or melt faces off with her toxin. She's simply...human. Even her hand-to-hand combat will likely be off now that she's lacking some of her limbs. It's really all too perfect and Arcee can't think of a better punishment for the Decepticon.]

Cute. Don't even start with the mind games, Airachnid, you already lost. It's just a matter of finding whatever hole you crawled into this time.

[Arcee's been here long enough to learn the ropes, she's pretty confident in her abilities when it comes to fighting with Digimon. Even if they aren't desirable circumstances, she can at least say she trusts her partner to ~~spear a spider through the gut~~ keep Airachnid from causing trouble.]

[Oh don't worry, Airachnid will find a way to compensate for her sudden lack of resources and abilities. Humans kill all the time, and they don't have eight legs, acid spit, hand lasers, and webs. All she has to do is adapt. At the same time, she's not going to challenge Arcee until she's used to her body.]

Do you honestly think it'll be that easy? Really Arcee, it's like you don't know me at all. Tell you what, I'll give you one week to enjoy whatever happy moments you have left. After that, we'll have a little girl's night out.

How does that sound?

[Wow, where do you get off calling the shots? You just got here.]

I got a better idea. Why don't I find you now and rip you apart so I can save this place the trouble of having to deal with you.

[She bets Tailgate would've liked that, at least.]

Hmm, I prefer my idea better.

Oh, I forgot to ask: Is Jack around? It just doesn't seem right for you to be here and not him.

[...Arcee pauses on her end. Just hearing Airachnid say Jack's name is enough to make her blood boil, but it also serves as another reminder of how much she misses him. But no...this is good. She can't hurt him here. Jack's much safer this way.]

Sorry to disappoint, but you won't be getting your claws on him today or anytime soon. He's as far away as he can get.

[Which is...good.]

[Airachnid has a lot to settle with Jack, and it genuinely disappoints her to know that he's not here. She had been hoping that he'd be around the moment she knew Arcee was here...]

You must have been so lonely without your pet human. But I don't doubt that you've found others to fill that void~

[Like she's really going to give her a list of new victims to go after.]

No one could ever replace Jack, not even for a second. All you get is me, so deal with it.

[She'll find that list sooner or later, and she'll have fun when she does.]

You're all that I want, Arcee.

I'm here, and I will make sure you suffer. Heh, it'll make what happened to Tailgate pale in comparison.

[Her teeth clench at the sound of Airachnid saying Tailgate's name. Taking a deep breath, she manages to calm herself down.]

I'd like to see you try.

Is that a challenge?

[She can't see Arcee, but she hears the anger in the Autobot's voice, and it's enough for her.]

I may decide to rise to it later.
