video;
[HOORAY, EVERYONE CAN SEE AGAIN.]
[Which means the video image of this loser can be seen loud and clear, so to speak. He's not up on top of the phone booth anymore, which is probably good. But now he seems to have found a bench or something to huddle up on instead. He seems to be chewing over his words, uncertain how to ask these questions...]
Everyone who arrives here... do they really have a place to stay? Just given to them?
[Because being outside on the street during the blackout? Not fun.]
[When he fails to ask anything else, his creepy little Keramon peeks around the side of his shoulder. Apparently, Kagerou has graduated from ignoring it to letting it sit by him. It ducks its head, apologetically.]
Would someone mind helping him find his place, please? We tried earlier but the blackout happened...
[If it had anything else to say, Kagerou cuts it off by ending the video. Good job, buddy.]

[Mikey tones it down a little, not a lot but just a little, when he doesn't get much of a positive response from his happiness.]
Kagerou huh, interesting name.
[For a very non-Japanese looking boy, all ginger hair and freckles, he says the name without stumbling on the sounds at all. He moves a bit, the video showing a simple room.]
Leader, I'm going down to street level, you wanna come with? [The question is directed to the Salamon who is curled up on a cushion.]
No... thank you. I'm still feeling a little queasy from the roof trip earlier.
Right, sorry, you rest, I'll be back.
[With the parting comment to his digimon partner Mikey nimbly slips out his window and with jumps that can be seen based off the shifting back ground behind him, he heads down to the street below, ninja movements that are more than just some fancy trick showing up slightly in the video. Once he is at the street he renters the same building from the ground level, seeking out the apartment info for the other. He hums a little as he is looking, keeping himself busy, and focused, by doing it.]
Found it! Your room is 006 on the first floor here, you only have one roommate, someone named Bonsai.
[As if to prove it he turns his d-terminal so that it shows the sheet of paper, his pointer and middle finger sitting on it to show which one is Kagerou's.]
[None of these words make any sense. Neither does the square analogy. His visible eye narrows a little. If it were possible to withdraw into himself any further, Kagerou probably would have found a way. Instead, he just speaks quietly, letting the confusion eke into his tone.]
Is it.
[His name is nothing special. And his eye tracks the human's progress, without speaking. In fact, he doesn't say much of anything until he's addressed again.]
Roommate. What is that.
Someone else could probably explain the crests and stuff better than I can.
I think it is, but I'm used to only Master Splinter having a name with those kinds of sounds, since his real name is Hamato Yoshi.
[Again he offers a shrug, unable to specify why it's is such an interesting thing to him.]
A roommate is someone else who lives in the same place. Almost everyone has one. I don't think it has to be, but sometimes I think it can be like having family.
... I don't know that name.
[And that's... all he has to say. If it's a human being, why should he know them? Why should he care to?]
[At the last bit, he visibly bristles, shaking his head.]
No.
No humans. I'll stay here.
[He was undisturbed by the lack of caring from the other, cheerfully going on at his own pace.]
What if your roommate isn't human, or wasn't? I mean I wasn't human til I got here, so there are probably at least a few others.
[It comes out a little more guardedly than he probably meant it to. But there's no taking it back.]
There's no way to be sure.
[Even Mikey knows when he's being too much of a pest, so he decides to stop there.]
At least not until you meet them.
If you stay outside all the time you are gonna get sick, or do you stay somewhere else?
... I have antiviral protections.
[Because that's totally what "sick" means.]
News flash, you are human now, no matter what you were before. That means sick happens when you stay out in the cold, or the wet... and I'm sure there are other things that cause it... I don't remember them all for humans, but still. If you get sick you are going to end up having to put up with more people, cause someone's gonna have to take care of you.
I'm not sick now, either. I don't have any viruses and I can do my own maintenance. No one here needs to take care of me.
Can you? I mean part of your maintenance now is living in doors so you avoid getting sick...
Yes, I can. I know how to look after myself. No one else ever did it.
Well... you aren't doing that good of a job. It made me think you didn't know what was needed now that you are a human.
I'm alive. That's all that matters.
