[HOORAY, EVERYONE CAN SEE AGAIN.]

[Which means the video image of this loser can be seen loud and clear, so to speak. He's not up on top of the phone booth anymore, which is probably good. But now he seems to have found a bench or something to huddle up on instead. He seems to be chewing over his words, uncertain how to ask these questions...]

Everyone who arrives here... do they really have a place to stay? Just given to them?

[Because being outside on the street during the blackout? Not fun.]

[When he fails to ask anything else, his creepy little Keramon peeks around the side of his shoulder. Apparently, Kagerou has graduated from ignoring it to letting it sit by him. It ducks its head, apologetically.]

Would someone mind helping him find his place, please? We tried earlier but the blackout happened...

[If it had anything else to say, Kagerou cuts it off by ending the video. Good job, buddy.]

[ Bandaged and bruised, Roze is out marching the streets, helping injured digimon and people alike, getting everyone to safe quarters, clearing debris and just trying to feel useful. Voyeur that she is, she always keeps her terminal handy. Though she hasn't had time to catch up on old videos, new ones get priority. ]

I can be over there pretty quick if you need a hand gettin' over to communal livin'. And yeah, everyone gets a place to stay. Little three-room affairs. If you want somethin' fancy and private you gotta pay for it, but most people like to stick together anyways.

Hold your D-T up if you don't know where you are so I can get a bearin' and I'll scoot my hot ass over that way.

[ Despite her injuries, the pink-haired woman was all shark-smiles and green-eyed mischief. Always loved to meet the other people around the place, she of the infectious charm. ]

From what I've been told we all get a place, and they are all in the same building too, until you get that crest thingy mabob.

[Mikey smiles happily and friendly, somehow his eye mask just framing his happy expression more.]

[And, as she suggests, the digi-creature lifts up the device.]

[ She tilts her head, smiling crookedly before wincing and rolling a shoulder sporting a bloody bandage. ]

[It nods its head. And glances up at Kagerou, who seems to hunch in on himself a little more.]

[But then Kagerou blinks, his one visible eye narrowing a little.]

Roommates? What does that mean?

[He shifts a little.]

Uh, you don't get the apartment to yourself. Other people live in the apartment with you.

...well, you each get a room in the apartment to yourselves, but the rest of the apartment, like the bathroom, is shared.

[And oops.]

What? No no, not help like that. I meant come to where you are and show you to the building.

[ She was about to close the D-T and just head straight over when the man questioned her. Blinking, she looked at herself as she walked, offering a laugh. She sure did look a sight, didn't she? ]

I got my ass handed to me by a big devil-woman. This one here-- [ She tilted the D-T to show her Kotemon ] --was fightin' somethin' called a NeoDevimon and we got smacked around in the dark. Most of the damage is superficial, don't worry about it.

I'd like to say we showed the crazy bitch, but...well, we didn't. She tossed me into a couple buildings and flew off with Musashi here. Took him clear across town. It was days before we met up again.

Meanwhile, everything I ran into I had to handle myself or run from. My pride is just about shit right now so helpin' around town is my back-up plan. Do something useful, don't feel useless. Pretty simple philosophy.

In the dark... You were fighting those things we heard? The noises in the darkness?

[Wow, look who suddenly decided to be part of the conversation.]

How? How did you do it? They say I'll have to -- but not how. No one told me anything like that.

[His voice starts getting a little unsettled, almost desperate, until his Keramon reaches out to touch his arm. He falls quiet, after that.]

Thank you for helping us. It sounds like a good plan.

Other... people.

[He shakes his head once, and pulls back from the screen.]

I'll stay here.

[Meanwhile, the hopeful look on the hell muppet's face just... crumbles. It buries its face in its hands.]

Whoa whoa whoa!

[He sees you pulling back there. Does he need to come drag you, cause he totally will.]

Hey, it ain't as bad as it sounds. I mean you don't even gotta talk to them if you don't want to.

Well, I wouldn't say I did a very good job... [ She trailed off, scratching the back of her head with her free hand. ]

Nonsense. Considering how things could have went, despite our defeat I believe we did fairly well. Especially considering the losses suffered by others.

[ Judging by her expression, it wasn't exactly the vote of confidence Roze wanted, but it was all she was gonna get. ]

I'm comin' around the corner in a minute. You should be able to see me.

[ Closing her D-Terminal, Roze came around a build and raised her hand in greeting, shouting from across the street.]

Yo! Haha, nice. I knew I was gettin' this place figured out.

[ The video on the D-Terminal didn't really do her justice - she was often described as Amazonian. At six foot tall and always wearing four inch heels, she towered over most people. Couple that with her penchant for revealing clothes and centerfold bosom, and the pink-haired woman with the green eyes was certainly physically imposing.

Still, that disarming smile tended to take away from the overwhelming presence of her and give people something to focus on rather than 'holy hell, that is one huge, tattooed girl'. ]

Greetings and salutations. Roze and Musashi to the rescue of a gentleman in distress and his faithful companion.

[ She thrust out her right hand for a shake, leaving her bandaged left arm hanging at her side. ]

[That's a terrible idea, really.]

[He's about to keep asking, even as the keramon's hand on his arm quiets him again. He just nods, instead, falling silent until she appears.]

[He's still huddled on the bench, all leg and broad shoulders, entirely too thin, and wearing an eyepatch over one eye. His hair looks unkempt, clothing a little ragged. He's been out here a while, after all. The Keramon stays close, always within touching distance. Whatever had passed between them in the dark... it appears to have helped, to some extent.]

[He just... stares. Human beings in general fall somewhere between perplexing and terrifying. His shoulders hunch, like they're trying to spread wings no longer there. Trying to make him look larger, leftover avian instincts.]

Gentleman...?

[His visible eye flicks down to her hand. Then back up again. What is that supposed to mean?]

[... so it's the Keramon who offers out its own hand to the woman, instead.]

His name is Kagerou. He's very reserved, I'm sorry.

I have my reasons.

Like what? Come on, whereever you are now can't be all that great. Don't you wanna be inside?

[He's not getting it, he's really not.]

I don't know those people.

[And that's when the Keramon decides to interject.]

He's not comfortable with strangers.

Uhh... Fluttershy said people get this crest thing, my brother, Donnie's got one, and when they get that it lets them move into other apartments. Is kind of a square peg in the square hole thing, Donnie's got the crest of love, and so now he is living in the love district.

[Mikey tones it down a little, not a lot but just a little, when he doesn't get much of a positive response from his happiness.]

Kagerou huh, interesting name.

[For a very non-Japanese looking boy, all ginger hair and freckles, he says the name without stumbling on the sounds at all. He moves a bit, the video showing a simple room.]

Leader, I'm going down to street level, you wanna come with? [The question is directed to the Salamon who is curled up on a cushion.]

No... thank you. I'm still feeling a little queasy from the roof trip earlier.

Right, sorry, you rest, I'll be back.

[With the parting comment to his digimon partner Mikey nimbly slips out his window and with jumps that can be seen based off the shifting back ground behind him, he heads down to the street below, ninja movements that are more than just some fancy trick showing up slightly in the video. Once he is at the street he renters the same building from the ground level, seeking out the apartment info for the other. He hums a little as he is looking, keeping himself busy, and focused, by doing it.]

Found it! Your room is 006 on the first floor here, you only have one roommate, someone named Bonsai.

[As if to prove it he turns his d-terminal so that it shows the sheet of paper, his pointer and middle finger sitting on it to show which one is Kagerou's.]
