All right, yes, I'll concede that I'm usually much more level-headed than that, but as if I wasn't freaking out enough I get to my room in this place to find this one [flops Lopmon's ears in emphasis] sitting on my bed like a creepy mascot from a Magical Girl anime.

...actually I really don't see why I should be the one making a public apology for this, Lopmon...

All right, so I'm guessing this thing is working? My name is Kaoru Hitachiin, and if anyone saw me earlier running around searching for my twin Hikaru, I'm sorry I didn't stop for you but I was kind of preoccupied. Sorry. And this is Lopmon, who has pretty much been nagging me since I got here. She says she's my partner, though I maintain I have a perfectly good one back home, yes Lopmon, even though he's not a Digimon.

So I looked through all the information I could find on this thing, and contrary to what Lopmon says I didn't just bolt as soon as I got here, I did listen to the whole welcome spiel from the white cute thing, such as it was... but if any of you could tell me more - like anything you wish you'd known when you'd got here - I'd be grateful.

That's about it, I guess.

Seems like it's the done thing. Not that these guys seem to be very understanding. Lopmon here has literally done nothing but bug me since I got here. [glancing down at Lopmon] ...some partner you are.

They can be kinda obnoxious, but honestly? They're here for you. Like, being your personal bodyguard is like their personal life mission or something, so you better get used to it.

Right now it seems to be Lopmon's personal mission in life to be the nagging mother I never really had.

For one you're not dreaming or something. This IS real, or real enough to hurt you. Two: it's pretty dangerous here. We just got attacked before you arrived and it'll happen again. Three: People you know might show up, but they might be from different points in time from you. Or not know you at all. Or random people might know you that you've never met

I think you just about covered everything but... what if it never gets fixed? What if we're never done? I have people waiting for me back home - though I know I'm not special in this... I can't just keep them waiting.

Can't tell ya. Some folks have vanished before, and at least one person has gone home THEN come back again. So it's possible to go home at least. We just can't control it.

All of us got someone or something waiting. Odds are your friends and family won't even know you're gone due to time bullshit though.

Well, it's better than being stuck, I guess. I'll just have to bear with it for the time being.

Is there anything about your brother that you can pinpoint as being different from you. Since your twins it is possible that you are identical, but there are certain things that they may do differently. Parting hair differently, different style and if you aren't identical more information would be necessary.

[ Apparently someone is getting to a business he has no part of. ]

We are. Identical, I mean. The only difference we have is how we part our hair, his parts opposite to mine but the style is the same.

And I guess Hikaru would probably still be running around, unless he got tired by now.

There are others who might be more helpful to you, thought it sounds like you know most things.

People can sound knowledgeable in a lot of things. But for me right now, it feels like I don't know enough. I'll probably continue to feel that way until I get used to this place. I'll keep working on it, though. This is only my first day.
