11 Butterflies | Accidental Video

[The camera is dark, and for a while there's nothing but the sound of gurgling and scratching noises. Then suddenly Fluttershy's voice could be heard from a distance.]

N-No, Choco...! D-Don't do that...!

[It's still dark, but the camera seems to be shaking as a rumbling giggle is heard, mixing with Fluttershy's voice calling out and the sound of object crashing nearby.

Then a "whump" sound, and the camera seemed to be tugged back and forth before light burst onto the screen, revealing Fluttershy's hand covering a shot of the ceiling.]

Choco, you know this isn't food...

[There's a brief shot of the winged girl talking to a small white puffball before the D-Terminal closes and ends transmission.]

[Excuse Wheeljack as a giant Sheepmon presses her way into view, squishing Wheeljack's face with her own as she looks in.]

Hi baby! And baby's partner!

[The little Snowbotamon gurgles in response, licking the screen before Fluttershy takes the D-Terminal.]

H...H-Hello...?

[Right now, the screen is full of sheep-face.]

Did you just hatch that digi-egg? Gosh...he's adorable! But definitely a hungry one! I mean, I remember when I was a little--

[A hand reaches out from the side of the feed, grabbing You by the horns and pushing her out of the way.]

Adults, having a conversation.

I know, and you interrupted.

[With an eyeroll, Wheeljack's back on the camera, hand still stretched offscreen.]

So, how'd you end up with the tiny one.

W-Well, actually...Ch-Choco didn't used to...be this way. H-He was a - oh, what was it again? A rookie, I think? - when I first met him...

B-But a while ago...during the black out...Something happened, and he...[She hesitated, glancing away.]

H-He...died...

Ah yeah, same with this fluffball.

[And his eyes widen at that last word. The one he knew all too well from back home. In fact, they divert from her gaze a moment, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand.

Looking at his own.

To be honest...he didn't even know that could happen. But--that probably wasn't the topic of choice Fluttershy wanted to dwell on.]

Apologies it happened. But at least he's back. Yannow, in pint-size.

[She's silent for a moment, looking at the baby Digimon as it gently chewed on her hand. Then, returning her attention on the screen, she managed a smile.]

Y-Yes...I'm glad to have him back. And even though he's just a baby now, I don't mind taking care of him until he gets bigger again.

Lucky...

[Wheeljack peers in to get a closer look at the baby Digimon, thinking it over slightly.]

...Think he likes you.

[The little Snowbotamon gurgles again, still gently chewing on her hand. Fluttershy simply giggles at that.]

I'm glad he does...I was a little worried...

[You manages to sneak her head onto Wheeljack's shoulder, if only to watch the little baby Digimon.]

Well of course! He's waited his whole life to meet you! If there's one thing we've learned, it's that you guys are worth every bit.

[And just look how Wheeljack is suddenly finding the ceiling more interesting.]

Well...most of the time.[She smirks towards her partner, who can't help but repeat the gesture.]

[She smiled a little.] I-I guess so...

Give yourself a little credit. Partners look out for each other, no matter what.

Can I visit him sometime? He's soooo cute!

[She nods, gently hugging Snowbotamon.] I know....He always looked out for me before, so now I want to do the same for him.

[Lil Choco gurgled, nuzzling into her.]

Oh, I think he'd really like it if you came to visit. He loves playing with other Digimon.

[It was nice to see, partners with symbiosis like that.]

-*GASP!*- Wheeljack! Wheeljack can we? I want to see the baby. C'monnnn~ I've been good!

[There's some nudges to the man's face, an obvious attempt to be assertive.]

Hey, hey! We'll see.

[She smiles.] Choco would really enjoy getting to play with someone...

[Lil Choco gurgles, licking the screen.]

Yeah?

[He's slowly warming up to the idea. It'd get some of You's excess energy out of the way.]

Whenever you've got some free time, I bet I could swing by.

[GAAASSSP!]

YOU REALLY MEAN IT?

[She smiled, nodding.] That sounds good. Although...maybe it should be somewhere where they'd have room to play...like the park.

[Somwhere outside...where they can't break anything.]

I smell play date!

I'll never heard the end of this.

[But he smirks into the feed, giving a nod.]

Deal. Rather not have two Digithings runnin' around in an enclosed space, myself.

[She nods, smiling.] S-Sounds good...
