They say this place is both the Real World and the Digital World-- but I'm wondering what exactly constitutes the "Real World" in this place.

[A loaded statement for a first post, but Hope's got a lot of questions and little answers.]

One would assume it's the world we come from, but it's very obviously not from the looks of this place. I spent my first couple of days searching and researching, though the scripts are unfamiliar to me, thus I'm unable to read the texts at all.

I'm not a philosophical person by any means [actually it was one subject he had trouble wrapping his head around back in school] so I apologize for all the deep thinking. I just have a lot of questions that have no answers-- which I imagine is the norm when arriving here.

[The speaker of that particular line is nowhere to be found, but Hope looks down, somewhere at his feet, and well. His partner is off-screen, obviously.]

[Wow, this guy seems really smart... And he seems to like thinking about confusing stuff, too. Guilmon hadn't even considered the "Real World" aspects of the place before now, so at first he sort of stares into the camera, scratching his cheek with his claws. Hmm...

He's got nothin'.]

Mm, well, there's lots of Real Worlds out there, and Guilmon's pretty sure there's a lot of different Digital Worlds, since this one works differently than the Digital World Guilmon went to before. Guilmon did see parts of Shinjuku, though.

[So maybe part of his world is mixed in! Hm.]

Maybe the "Real World" this place got mixed up with is the one connected to this Digital World. I don't know. Thinking about that stuff is hard!

[A... humanless Digimon? Well, it's nothing he hasn't seen before, considering several Digimon have no partners, but how did this one get a D-Terminal?]

If this Digital World is connected to a singular "Real World", then would it not make more sense for only people of that Real World to be brought in? Food for thought.

[guilmon]

Hmm... I didn't think about that before.

[He tips his chin up, trying to think it over.]

Well, what about the Tamer who wrote the guide? He might be from that Real World.

[But that's still just one person among lots of Digimon. Maybe there's more to it...]

He may be from the Real World we see around us, but he likely didn't take into account how diverse worlds actually are. Or he has not seen other worlds save for the Digital one and his own home.

[guilmon]

Hmm... Well, I bet lots of people forget that. If you don't know about other worlds, then it's hard to know how different they are.

[Guilmon kind of understands, as he's had to adjust to this much happier, safer Digital World.]

But it sounds like your world's nothing like this one! Is that true?

[caladrius]

That's true. Someone's informed me that the Real World we see here is called Earth-- and that is definitely not my home.

In addition, there's very little similarity between my world and this, save for the presence of non-human creatures.

[guilmon]

Non-human creatures? But they're not Digimon, right? Guilmon's heard of places with talking lions and ponies. Is it like that?

[Come to think of it, wasn't there someone who was an ice cream truck? Or maybe a motorcycle. He got mixed messages from Arcee's partner.]

[What in the world(s) are those.]

No, none of them talk, if that's what you're asking.

[guilmon]

Mm! Guilmon's guessing they looked like Leomon and Unimon.

[It would make sense, since Digimon were made by humans and probably based on real animals, like Lopmon and bunnies!]

But I guess that makes sense, since the animals in the Real World don't talk, either. I think Digimon are the only ones that do that, but it'd be silly if we couldn't. How else would we communicate with our partners?
