< I was wondering if anyone would be willing to let me borrow their partner for tomorrow. I wouldn't ask, but Lalamon seems to think me being unable to communicate with customers that aren't digimon is funny and is refusing to help me. >

[It's all said in bright and sunny Japanese. She's not that great at English,, and her partner is nowhere to be found. From somewhere off-camera, Lalamon can be heard.]

I told you: if you're that worried about it, then just don't go into work until this gets fixed. It'll be over in a couple of days.

[Shiki's looking away from the camera at Lalamon. She seems angry.] < No! I'm not taking off again just because you're a digijerk. >

[Shiki makes a frustrated noise, and the feed cuts.]

[He reaches up where his headphones would be: but they've been gone for a long while now. Ever since he gave them to Cam. He hasn't NEEDED them. But now he makes vague clutching/pressing motions before he realizes it's not doing anything to block out all this TALKING. Instead he tucks his chin down into his shirt.]

He's always done it a little, usually if he's mad. But not a LOT, and less and less since he got here. But it's been getting worse all week!

[Neku huffs and turns away, attempting to pretend the girls don't exist]

[Neku looks surprised by the offer, and for a moment his expression softens. He's... touched, but her attempt. by her knowing what's wrong. Once again he feels bad for assuming things back when she first arrived. About her not being the Shiki he knows.

But this nasty THING inside him twists the intent, and his expression sours quickly]

[Oh, someone he can understand. That's a relief! When Guilmon first responds, he looks a bit unnerved, ears twitching and eyes wide, but this post is a good distraction. He can handle this!

In fact, he'll puff up his chest and wave one of his hands, cracking a small, tired smile.]

Well, Guilmon isn't a Tamer, but if you want, I can help! I don't think Takato would mind if he was here. He's not, though, so Guilmon helping is definitely okay.

[Something occurs to her, and she tilts her head curiously.] Where is your partner, though? Are you here all by yourself?

Burgers?

[Burgers have bread! He's okay with that. Plus, the other Guilmon likes those a lot! He perks up at the thought of food, giving a gigantic grin and licking his lips.

However, the mention of his partner wipes the smile off his face.]

Takato isn't here... Guilmon came all by himself.

[He looks to the side, shoulders hunched and head hanging low.]

Hey, don't be sad. I'm sure he's looking for you right now, but there's a lot of worlds so it could take a while. [Shiki gives him a smile.] You just have to believe in your partner, okay?

Right. Guilmon can do that... Guilmon shouldn't be sad.

[He shakes his head. Thinking this way isn't fun, and he doesn't want to make this person sad, either!]

Umm, so where would Guilmon go to find you?

[Maybe spending time with people will help. It usually does!]
