09 ✨ VIDEO {backdated to November 17, after all the NPC posts}
Hello my fellow Chosen, it seems as if we're in quite the situation now. First of all, let me just say if you bring up anything I said to you during that entire period of shifty behavior so help me, I'll stuff your body into locker for weeks. I think it'd be great if we all just moved forward from that and let bygones be bygones because now we've got a greater threat on our hands. More importantly, remember Chosen that it was your partner who stood by your side and tried their best to look out for you while all of this was going on. So before you consider whether or not their sincerity is valid, you should think over the past few weeks and decide for yourself.
[ Lunamon is in the background with her eyes wide with tears. Clearly she's overwhelmed by the true kindness that her Chosen has kept under wraps, though those who have gotten to know Rin lately might wonder if it's just a side-effect of her recent change in personality. ]
If that boring sentimental message already caused you to cut the call, good. You're the type of Chosen this place doesn't need--but for the rest of you, I have more to say. I have been investigating the Scope Virus Digimon to the best of my ability and after speaking with the caretaker at Primary Village--[ She pauses to look over her shoulder. ] Lunamon, go there now, just as we planned.
--But Rin! [ The moon Digimon squeaks with concern. ] I, I don't want to leave you now that you've accepted me as your partner!
Lunamon, we promised that we would help out. We rely on each other, but we also have our own strengths alone. [ It seems this is a talk they have often as she appears to be reminding her partner. ] I'll be safe here with Coronamon, but don't you think for a moment I'm abandoning you. [ It works, as Lunamon takes off to leave Rin to resume her conversation with the network. ]
As I was saying, Digimon who are associated with the Scope Virus don't return to Primary Village as eggs. We've seen how Digimon are here so isn't it cruel to be mercilessly slaying them left and right? Well, I'm sure it hardly matters to most of you, but for some of us who like to remain a little humane, the alternative of capturing them is preferred. We do have a jail and furthermore it'd be easier to understand what we're up against if we can analyze them a bit better. I'm not hinting at torture, but if it comes down to it... well, sometimes you have to play dirty to get the information you need. [ Please, someone bring her an infected Digimon to toy around with sometime. ] More importantly, I'm sure you're wanting to know if what that monstrosity said was true, huh?
The test results are in and while these Digimon that have been brought to the city are assembled differently than the ones we've come to known, it's difficult to tell whether or not that makes them anymore real... [ It's frustrating to admit that out loud. After all the work she's spent in understanding the Digimon here, it turns out she was wrong? Now she's going to have to study them extensively some more. ] Well, it's not so much they were assembled differently, but perhaps acclimated due to different conditions? Well, I'd be glad to tell you the specifics should you find time to discuss it during all of this chaos.
[ OOC: Here is your handy IC excuse to know this information! While Rin can't say she knows why or who damaged them, she can make pretty good guesses that this boasting jerk knows a thing or two about it. ]

[text, after a good while, probably after titamon's gone]
you said just the right thing.

Think things have settled down now?
no subject
don't know how to say this but just sorry.
for before.
no subject
Don't be one of those people who has to insist on apologizing for things out of your control.
no subject
i haven't been very good at that, but i'll try.
the last few weeks just sucked.
no subject
If you forget about it and just move on, then they really can't be that bad.

Isn't that much obvious?

As for business as usual, Sorry I couldn't bring you anything useful datawise. But if you really want some vicious Digimon to study I'm sure I can help with that.

Oh, but you got one of those crests?
no subject
[holds up hers to show it to the camera]
Has anyone else gotten Destiny yet?
no subject
[ Here Rin is still without one herself. She's starting to wonder what she's doing wrong now. ]
no subject
oooo~ it sounds all dramatic when you say it like that.
or you could call it the "DoD."
...anyway if anyone else lives there I could get to know my neighbors. Presumably if we have the same Crest we could see what things about us are the same or different.
no subject
[ As far as she knows though? ] Destiny seems really strange for a crest.

[video, definitely this is after Lotusmon's gone down.]
[He seems to be considering saying something and then falling silent.]
[He seems to be doing this multiple times.]
[Finally, he successfully speaks.]
I don't see how Guilmon's any different now than before. A friend is a friend, even if they're a little bit different than you thought at first.
But... Hey, I have a question. Do you know anything about a 'queen' or who might have been telling Lotusmon what to do? [You're like one of the smartest people I know you have to know something.]
no subject
[ Rin's thinking. If there's a queen who was controlling Lotusmon, does that mean there's someone who may be as great of a threat as Titamon? ]
Do you think it's a Chosen like we are?
no subject
Maybe. I don't know what I think right now... Ryudamon calls me 'Master,' so it could be a term for a Chosen.
I do know one thing--Lotusmon attacked Titamon. And she and Sakuyamon don't get along with each other either... so there's at least three different groups of digimon, plus us. I didn't think their politics would be so complex... I guess I shouldn't have underestimated them.
no subject
[ Tapping her finger against the table. ] Do you think our added presence has added strain? It's likely that it has--with crests, we're quite powerful allies to have.
Though it makes no sense why they would attack us instead of trying to convince us to join their side.
no subject
If anything, it's the digivices that are weird--the energy flow is linked to Guilmon specifically... and with her not being the original intended target, I'm wondering how things are going to balance themselves.
[For all his derp this is almost something he knows what he's talking about!!]
no subject
[ If everyone's personalities were easily manipulated before, who knows how easy it would be to sway them to fight for one of the other sides. ]
That's a good question. I was thinking of trying to get a certain know-it-all's attention once things settled down here to ask questions of that nature. Want to help?
no subject
We don't know a lot about what's going on outside, and we could find information on what connections Sakuyamon, Titamon, and Lotusmon all had. Who they are, what their goals are, all of that stuff. Basically... someone needs to go out there and get information for everyone. We've been relying on the original Chosen to help us with that before but...
[I want to see it for myself.]
no subject
[ It's troublesome, but she knows that type all too well. ] It's true that the original Chosen aren't all that easy to get in touch with, but I think a lot of this is stuff they're unfamiliar with as well. I had spoken with Elecmon and there were some things there that didn't add up to what we've been told about the Digital World itself.
[ Meaning that the original Chosen are likely in the same situation as themselves. ]
Where would you start?
