[He pouts at the Floramon.] I'm just showing everyone Fluttershy's new crest...

[She rolls her eyes.] Would you stop goofing around? Gimme that...

[She starts to take the D-Terminal from him, but Choco holds on, and there's a shaky view of the ceiling as the two start tugging at the device.]

I wonder where the crests even come from.

It's hard to say, I think maybe we get them from the same force that brought us here. It seems to take our strongest trait and gives us a Crest based off that trait. Paolo said mine was Love. No idea why I got that, but I did. Your Crest is... the same as Marley's was, so it's Kindness, right?

Hmm. That would make sense. Although that also brings up the same questions of what that force is, and why it's even giving us crests in the first place.

It's a mystery. I've been wanting to figure that out for a while. I've gotten a better understanding of the technological system and all now, so maybe I can find out.

Possibly, ti couldn't hurt to try. I saw that one girl, Rin I think? Apparently she figured out everything about what's going on with our Digimon, so clearly we can find out things if we study it close enough. After eight months of being here, I think it would be nice to find out exactly what it is keeping us here. It may take an long time, like any scientific study does, but I'm willing to try.
