[Choco's grinning face could be seen as soon as the screen lights up.]

Hi everyone! I'm back! It's been a long time, huh? Things have been really crazy...

Oh, but I wanna show you guys something. It's really important...

[He digs around off to the side for a moment before pulling back up, holding a golden tag with a pink crest.]

Tadah! Fluttershy finally got her crest! Isn't it neat? Kindness really does suit her the best...

Choco, what are you doing?

[He pouts at the Floramon.] I'm just showing everyone Fluttershy's new crest...

[She rolls her eyes.] Would you stop goofing around? Gimme that...

[She starts to take the D-Terminal from him, but Choco holds on, and there's a shaky view of the ceiling as the two start tugging at the device.]

No, leggo! This is what I do - !

I realized something recently.

We don't really leave this place much. We don't know much about what's going on except what other people tell us.

How can we say for certain that the path we're walking is right? We don't know what this world's balance is... only what our worlds' balances are--and they could be different.

Hmm...that's true. But those other Chosen...the one who have been helping us since we got here. They would know, wouldn't they? They would help us figure it out...

Maybe...

And I don't think they're necessarily lying either, but we've been way too reactionary... and there's no telling if they really can explain everything clearly either. They came from other worlds too, so their perception might be weird... like telling a secret to someone that you only overheard yourself. Something might get lost in translation.

Um... I'm not sure if I ever told you this, but one time I would up trapped in another dimension for a while. There were a lot of differences between their societies and the ones where I'm from.

Hmm...that is true. But if we were doing something wrong, wouldn't most of the Digimon tell us that?

N-No, I don't think you ever did. What was it like?

...Our digimon until recently were clones... and the other ones were in a prison or something, I guess? A-anyways, I don't think they'd know. [Nodnod.]

Anyways... it was really a lot of fun. I had a friend with me, and I'm pretty strong so we didn't have a lot of trouble--but I also learned a lot about a lot of views that weren't mine. I had made a lot of assumptions, like that most dragons were scary and mean or that wizards were all smart but not very good in a fistfight. That's... not how it works for real, though.

But I mean, the other Digimon around the city. They don't seem to mind what we've been doing so far.

There have been people who have been working to uncover the truth. I wonder if they found anything...

I see...So things were different than how you imagined them?

Way different. And while there are people working to uncover the truth... I don't know anyone who's made any effort to leave the city. We haven't been exploring, we've just kind of been huddling here.

And they were. Way different. I met a mage who could punch out my martial artist friend with no problem at all.... demons who were really nice, and dragons who were noble. I also met angels who were kind of jerks... A-anyways, the point is that I think maybe I should take a look outside myself. You know, to see what's... there?

Hmm, that is true...What do you think we should do?

B-But...it could be dangerous, couldn't it? W-Would you go by yourself?

I'm exploring because it's what I think we should do... and even if it's dangerous, I'm going.

I was thinking of going by myself... to get closer to Ryudamon and to master Taomon's power. Like a training mission.

B-But...wh-what if something happens?

It won't. So long as I'm using my head, everything will turn out alright.

[Please don't point out the obvious contradiction in this statement.]

Wh...When will you go? Have you decided?

Not just yet... but sometime soon, I think.

I need to see if I can track down any information about that 'queen' lady Lotusmon mentioned, and anything I can find on Titamon. I want to know what both of them are really after... one or the other might not actually be an enemy, and if there was a big misunderstanding then we owe them an apology.

[She knows she can't stop him if he really decides to go. But she still can't help but worry.]

J-Just...let me know...when you decide to go...okay?

[A nervous laugh] A-actually, it's not even like it's really that big of a deal. Me helping out around here is as likely as not to just cause more trouble anyways, so...

D-Don't say that...You're just as important as everyone here.

I've also accidentally dark digivolved twice, and both times someone almost died because of it. I think I'm starting to get the hang of this crest, but I want to make sure I've mastered it before next time.

Mm...

[She could kind of understand that. She managed to get Choco to Dark Digivolve without a crest. But still.]

...Anyways... I'm the kind of person who learns best by doing, and this is a good chance to do. I kind of figured out that we don't die anyways... so I'll definitely be fine, and I'm sure I can keep Guilmon and Ryudamon safe.

[She knew Hiccup had made a post when he was revived, but something about the way he worded that worries her a bit.]

Well... remember when we were all SCOPE virused or whatever?

Hiccup mentioned that we couldn't die, so I tested it in the bathtub with a toaster and had Guilmon watch. It turns out I just looked all digitized and weird and stuff. I came back in about six hours. I felt a bit beat up and my hair was all frizzed and took forever to get back down, but other than that it was fine.

You did what...? Ed!

It was for science!!

...is what I would have said at the time. [Nodnod.] I know it was stupid, and I don't plan to repeat it.
