[Donnie really hated how just as things started to get a little better for him, they come crashing down again. Forst the virus, then his argument with Leatherhead, and now... he was having nightmares. Nightmares of something that happened months ago now, but he had brought it up only to the two people who were with him when it happened. It had been horrific, the vision that he, Marley, and Ed had seen. He had tried to forget it.

But after the invasion, he couldn't. Real or not, the city needed to know.]

I know how a lot of you want to beat me into a bloody pulp right now, and trust me I'd be more than happy to let you. But this sin;t about that, this is about something I should have told people months ago. Ed may have, but I don;t remember. Remember the Dark Zone back in June? I was one of the Divers that went into it. A lot of bad things happened in there... but there was one thing in particular, one I tried to forget. But after the Titamon invasion. now might be a good time to say it.

I don;t know what we saw exactly, the thing was too bright to see. But what I do know is that it was a Digimon and that it was something pure evil. The other Divers and me, we... we saw it kill... pretty much anything living. Humans, other living beings, it... it killed everything. We had to look it in the eyes and... [There was an audible gulp] I-it was... the most horrifying thing I ever saw...

I don;t if it's real or not, but after Titamon attacked I started thinking about if. If it is real, then... then we need to be ready for it. If it's the thing that we're here to stop, we can't let it kill everything. I... I just wanted to warn people, because if it's real, then we'll be in a lot of trouble. That's all I have to say.

[Private to Mikey]

[Actually, he did have one more thing to say, but that was for his brother's ears only. He placed the lock, but he paused before talking. He was still scared of Mikey, after the fight he didn't know what to do. He feared hurting his brother again, he feared upsetting him. He couldn't bare to cause him anymore harm. But that... thing wasn't all he was having nightmares about. He saw something else in the Dark Zone, something he thought that he had moved past. But it looked like he was heading for a relapse, and the fear was coming back along with it

He needed to hear Mikey's voice, know that he was okay.]

Mikey, I...look, I-I know things are... are shaky between us. I'm partly to blame, if not completely, and I'm sorry. How I acted the other day was horrible and I had no right to be like that. But... [His voice started to crack] I-I need you to pick up, even if it's to yell at me. I... I need to know that your okay. That... that your alive... so please... please pick up.

[Mikey hadn't been paying any attention to what was being said over the D-Terminal, at least not until he heard Donnie call his name. But once he heard that the teen snapped out of his half asleep state. He hadn't been sleeping well on nights when he was alone, and so he had taken to just laying awake until it was morning again.

Still Donnie was calling him and needed him, and that was more than enough to wipe away all of the tired he had been feeling.]

I'm here Donnie, I'm not gonna yell at you. I'm alive, and I'm fine.

[His voice sounded most of the way like he was just as he said, though there was a slight hitch just before the last word.

His own nightmares that had been making it hard to sleep were ones that left him with after images of dead friends, lover and brother in his mind's eye, so assuring Donnie he was alive, was important right now.]

[As soon as he heard Mikey's voice, a wave fo relief washed over Donnie. He let himself calm a little, but a part fo him was surprised that Mikey picked up and wasn't mad at him. He had every right to be, after all that happened a week ago.]

You... you're not? So... y-your not mad at me?

[He hated how he sounded like a scared child, but he still needed to ask.]

Of course I'm not mad... I... I'm sorry I got all upset... and I'm sorry things ended how they did.

[He sighed and there was some rusttling sounds as he curled up a bit.]

I really... I don't know what to do about a lot of this. Not something I think Sensei ever even thought he would have to teach us...

But I'm not mad at you... I'm not mad at either of you... I just wish things were better. But I don't get all my wishes. I'm just glad I got you back... if I have to make the rest of this work, I will, but you are my brother again, and that's the important thing.

[He could tell that his brother was still upset, and he hated it. He hated how the whole argument happened and ended. A part of him just wanted to go rush to his brither and assure him that everything would be okay, that he would fix everything. But the part of him that was healing knew that he couldn't face Mikey in person, not yet.

Still, he needed to give Mikey some assurance. He was still the big brother, he needed to keep his pain in, for Mikey's sake. He had to.]

No Mikey, don't be sorry. If anyone should be, it's me. I'm sorry that... that you had to hear all that. I'm sorry it all ended like it did and that I hung up like that, but... if I had talked anymore I would have lost it...

[He wasn't going to tell Mikey how he broke down soon after, he wasn't going to upset him anymore.]

I know it's hard right now, and I wish I knew how to fix it. But... I will fix it, I'll make things better somehow Mikey, I promise. We'll get through this, and... no matter what, I'm always going to be your brother. Nothing is ever going to change that.

I know... I'm not going to stop being your brother ever. Are you okay? You sounded scared when you called me.

[He wanted to shift the more about Donnie, since helping his brother recover was the important thing that he needed to do.]

[It took Donnie a few seconds to answer. He didn't want to make Mikey worry about him, but at the same time he needed to let it out.]

I... I-I had a nightmare... a-about something that happened... a few months ago. It happened before you got sent here... and it really scared me, and... I was worried that it was...

[That it was real... He didn't say that last part, Mikey probably got what he meant anyways.]

Those nightmares are always shell. I can totally understand the panic. I'm alright, I'm here at my apartment with Leader and Leormon... Oh that's right you haven't met Leormon yet, have you?

Leormon, you awake?

I'm up, what is it?

I want you to meet my brother, Donnie.

OH, Hi there Mikey's brother, I'm Leormon, at least for now, Mikey says he's trying to figure out a name for me still. Nice to get to meet you, Mikey and Leader have mentioned you from time to time.

[That first statement made Donnie pause. What did that mean? Had... Mikey been having nightmares too? That set off an instant alarm in his head.]

Mikey, are you-

[He was cut off when Mikey introduced him to Leormon. The concern was far from gone, but he'd go with this. For now.]

Umm.. yeah, I'm Mikey's brother... well one of them. It's ugh... nice to meet you Leormon.

[Well the Digimon didn't sound like it wanted to kill him, so maybe Mikey and Leader hadn't mentioned the virus. He hoped not, he really wanted to forget that it ever happened.]

Oh! Speaking of Digimon, Miey I got Paolo back, and he hatched. So that's been... helping me get better. That and therapy...

Mikey and Leader told me you had been hit hard by a virus, that's why I haven't had the chance to meet you yet. I hope I can meet you in person someday soon.

Oh! Paolo is hatched, I'm so glad to hear that! I'm glad you are working things out!

[He didn't know what to say about the therapy, since he had never imagined his smart brother needing it before, but now he could believe that it was good for him. That made Mikey wonder if he should consider it, but he wasn't too sure about it.]

Oh... they told you about that...

[He was silent for a few seconds. He wondered how much Mikey told the Leormon about the virus, but at least he didn't sound like he wanted to kill him. That was good.]

Well... maybe around Christmas you'll be able to see me... that is... if we're still planning to meet on that day...

[Now he was sounding scared again. After the argument, he didn't know how anything was anymore. He hoped that Mikey still wanted to see him on Cbristmas, but what if he didn't? He was that worried that he had screwed everything up despite having again be forgiven.]

Some, yeah, they didn't explain a lot of it, but they said a there was a virus involved... that's enough for me.

[For what it was worth the Leormon didn't seem to have any interest in finding out more about that.]

Yes... I'd still like to see you then. I'd kinda... been planning on it.

Thank you for the heads up, Donnie. Looks like I'll have to double training efforts for me and my partners. If the past battle was any indicator, we got a lot of work need to be done.

I still don't know if it's real or not... but at this point, it's better to be safe than sorry.

[He sighed] I'm doing a little better. Therapy has helped some and I have Paolo back now, but... Mikey and I still have issues between us.

I'm glad you're seeking help. Bottling those things up tend to backfire badly. You two will make up eventually since you're family. And...you do have the chance to apologize. It's something I never had the chance to do.

Well... I-I did apologize to him, and he forgave me. But... we're not ready to face each other and I had a fight with his bo... friend.

[He didn't know who all knew of Mikey and Leatherhead's relationship, and he surely wasn't going to tell anyone if they didn't want it known about.]

I just... want to fix things between us. And I don't know how.

Still kinda right on the first part, but what brought up this little storytime? I mean...unless you're suddenly puttin' pieces together, seems a little...

[Wheeljack can't seem to think of the word, his thumb touching his fingers in thought.]

I didn;t bring it up before becauzse I wasn't sure if it was real or not. Plus.. that wasn't the only that happened in there... but with Titamon's attack, I did a lot fo thinking, and ig the vision is real and related to him in some way, I needed to get the word out. Better late than never.

[He didn't remember that Wheeljack had replied to the threat the virus made months ago, he had been gone by that point. So the quirked eyebrow and look of confusion was pretty clear in his expression. Arte was by him with a Poyomon that was currently Paolo, and while she said nothing, she made sure to glare as a reminder to not harm her Chosen, or else.]

...Huh, guess ya got a point there. Info is info, no matter what timestamp ya put on it.

[He can feel the hairs on his neck stand up, but when his eye catches that of the Digimon, he vents out air, trying to control himself.]

I'm a buddy of Hiccup's.

[That was enough to get Donnie to freeze in shock. If that were true, he already knew where this was heading.]

O-oh... I-I see... [He gulped] I-in that case, I-I guess I know what this is about...

[Despite how much better it'd make him feel.]

I'm not good at...you know, talks like this so...yannow, cut me some slack.

[Well...that was surprising. Donnie would welcome a pounding, he deserved it (even if he really didn't), but he'd hold back on saying that in front of his Digimon. he did however look at Arte.]

He had seen your apology last week. he replied after... the argument, so I told him that he could talk to you once you were better. Sorry Donnie, I wanted to wait until after this to tell you.

I-it's okay Arte, I understand. You did good [He gave her a headpat before taking ahold of the Poyomon, who had been getting fussy. Paolo instantly calmed down, nuzzling into the arms holding him. Donnie gave the Digimon a gentle smile before turning back to the screen]

It's fine. I'm not exactly good at them either, so I understand.

[He'd push himself to the front of the line if he didn't have the talk with your Digimon, to be honest. And even then, a small part of him...

But he shakes that thought out of his head, before getting back to the real conversation at hand. Heck, even seeing Donnie tending to his Digimon was pretty convincing that...well, this is the real Donnie.]

I wanna meet up. Don't feel comfortable talkin' over this stuff.

Don't worry, we'll make sure he doesn't really hit you, if he tries.

Well... that's fine. Just tell me where to go and I can meet you there.

[He was a little worried, he figured that there way be a few wanting to rip him apart for killing Hiccup and he was ready to let them. But if the guy said that he wouldn't pound him, he was going to hope that it was the truth. Besides if Hiccup was friends with him, he must be a pretty decent guy, at the very least.]
