01 | VIDEO
[Yeah, were you expecting a new arrival? Yes? No? Maybe? Well, whatever the case, here is now a video feed playing on your screens. It is incredibly shaky and three quarters of the screen is covered with something purple, but it is a video feed nevertheless. Clearly, the recorder making this is not adept at handling the D-Terminal, or maybe its something else entirely.
From the first line, its clear that it is indeed something else entirely.] C'mon, you should at least say hello!
--I'm not sure if that's a good idea.
[The second voice is very male-sounding, although quiet and trying his best to be as polite as possible even though there is no real need to be.
From near the mic there is a huff, presumably from the first speaker.] How are you gonna talk to anybody if you won't even say hello?
I--well. [Its clear that the second speaker doesn't seem very comfortable with all of this, and there is a certain amount of discomfort in his voice, especially when he talks again.] It's just been a while, so I'm not really used to--this.
[A brief pause, and when the first speaker talks again this time the voice is not as forceful.] Well, no time like the present to start again, right?
[Another pause here too.] I suppose so.
Good! [And here the D-Terminal is being fumbled now, brought around so that now people are see one Floramon close to the camera. The Digimon smiles before waving with its free hand.] Hello! I'm Floramon! I don't have a nickname like the most of you, so Floramon is just fine until I do have one.
But this isn't about me -- I've gotten a partner, and he wants to say hi to all of you! [And here Floramon moves, shifting the camera so that now Bruce is on the screen, and he gives a tenative smile to the camera before he waves weakly.
Floramon, apparently, is not pleased by this.] C'mon, Bruce! Say hi!
...hello. [He tries the smile again, but its weaker this time, and Bruce is still looking distinctly uncomfortable about all of this.
Some pity is taken, at least, and Floramon comes back into the screen, looking somewhat apologetic.] Sorry, my partner's kind of shy - but he's really nice, I can assure you! And I'm looking forward to working with you all in the future! Feel free to say hi back too! I'll make sure my partner answers to you next time.
[With that said, Floramon gives one more wave before the feed shuts off.]

[Floramon smiles proudly at her partner before turning back to the D-Terminal herself.]
So...Bruce, was it? Can you tell us a bit about yourself?
[Yes, Floramon, start gushing about Bruce when he's utterly unused to the attention. He rubs the back of his head awkwardly, looking sheepish.]
There's not really much to say about me.
[Fluttershy gently shushes the Floramon.] I-If...you don't mind telling us. Y-You don't have to if you don't want to, though...
I'm just a scientist, nothing more than that. [Smiles.] It's kind of boring honestly.
....You're right, it does sound kinda boring...
Floramon, hush...!
[She either doesn't seem to hear Fluttershy, or doesn't mind her.] So the world you're from...Nothing interesting about that? No super humans or magic or anything like that?
Nothing too interesting, yeah. [Wry smile.] Sorry for the disappointment.
[After everything Bruce doesn't really call what happened in New York as special. Just... important, in some ways.]
I-It's...not a bad thing, though, Floramon. There's nothing wrong with...peaceful...
["Normal" was a fairly relative term anyway, so this seemed like a safer word to use.]
[Not at all, angry, but still wry and a little amused. Bruce knows how people find it boring and not fun, but Bruce likes boring and not fun. Its easier for him.]
[Floramon shrugged.] Yeah, peaceful's fine and all...but it coulda still been something interesting. Your world is pretty peaceful most of the time, Fluttershy, and that's still interesting.
Sorry for the disappointment, I guess. I know its not what you were hoping.
Ah well...they'll probably be others who come from really exciting worlds.
So what does a scientist do, anyway?
Floramon, I-I think we've bothered him enough...
It really depends on what the scientist is interested in. Different things are done depending on what field the scientist hails from.
[To put it in the most simplest terms, because its not like 'radiation and anti-collision particles' is going to fly here. And Bruce doesn't want to get that deep anyway.]
It's usually boring for people who're not into it like I am, don't worry.
A-Anything that's borin might be interesting to someone...I-I know I tend to bore others sometimes with what I do...
She really loves animals.
That's nice. [Doing his best to be comforting, here.] I used to own a dog myself.
[Along with other animals in different times, but the last was Brazil, with the dog.]
Oh that's so sweet? What kind of dog? What was his name?
Back home, I take care of a lot of animals - birds, squirrels, mice...
A bear...
But my little Angel bunny is really special to me.
He was her favorite.
