[Yang is sitting on the railing of one of the bridges in the city, her long legs dangling over the side as she swings them back and forth. She looks pretty cheery for someone who just got ripped from their home and whose abilities aren't working like they should. She waves at the camera.]

Hello. I saw some of the rest of you doing a broadcast like this and thought it looked like fun. Besides, there's no way I have the time to wander around trying to run into everyone and make friends that way. Especially not with Bearmon getting us lost every time he tries.

[She doesn't seem too concerned and continues.]

For those I haven't met yet, I'm Yang.

I'm 17, I like parties, my favorite color is orange, I like listening to The Achieve Men, and I was attending Beacon Academy before I came here. My partner is currently operating the camera because he's too shy to talk to everyone. He's a Bearmon.

[She hesitates, frowning slightly as she starts to realize something] He...honestly hasn't told me much about himself. I don't even have a name for him yet...

[A soft voice speaks up then. It sounds closer to the camera, so one can assume it might be the Bearmon the bubbly blonde mentioned.]

Honey.

[Yang blinks in surprise, her legs ceasing their movement as she peers past the camera.]

Huh?

[Bearmon replies in an even softer voice than before and he speaks fast. He sounds so nervous and like he REALLY doesn't want to be talking right now.]

M-my name...Honey. You kept calling me that. I-I thoughtitwasmyname...

[Yang looks very stunned. Apparently she hadn't expected Bearmon to say anything, let alone decide on a name. She collects herself very quickly though and breaks out into a grin, hopping off the bridge's rail and lunging at the camera. The D-Terminal clatters to the ground and you can now get a skewed view of Yang hugging Bearmon tightly, giving him a noogie on his cap.]

Oh that's so cute! Your name can totally be Honey! I love it and I'm so proud you finally talked to someone other than me!

[Bearmon is talking softly again, you can see his mouth move, but it's so soft the camera doesn't pick it up. Yang laughs and sets the bear down.]

Right, right. We should finish this up.

[Yang plucks the D-Terminal back up and offers it to Bearmon again. Her partner takes it silently and Yang brushes out her hair as she turns back to the camera. Bearmon, or Honey, has steadied the camera once again.]

As I was saying, Honey and I are apparently staying in F3 006. I'd like to thank everyone again who helped us out around town. You'll be seeing a lot of us, I promise. And for those I haven't met yet...I look forward to it.

[Yang winks at the broadcast.]

Okay, Honey, I think we're done for now. You can stop the feed.

[He does.]

Hi! I think Honey's a great name! Mine's Choco! It's nice to meet you guys!

Hello Choco. Thanks for responding! Honey's being shy again, but I'm sure he appreciates it too. So who's your partner, Choco?

That's okay. My partner's like that too. Her name's Fluttershy, and she's really nice once you get to know her. She just has a bit of trouble talking to people she doesn't know.

Fluttershy, huh? Guess it's in the name. I'll have to meet her some other time then. I like making friends, so you can bet I'll be around to say hello to her in person. We'll get to know each other real quick.

Just give her a little time. If we keep talking, we might be able to warm up enough that she can say hello in person.

Would it help if I told more about myself? Maybe we can find something in common that way.

Yeah, that usually helps. That's why I like to keep talking with people, because eventually she can be brave enough to join in.

Hmm.

[Wow. Yang having trouble thinking of something to talk about? That's new.]

Well, my birthday is in the summer and I have a younger sister named Ruby. Haven't seen her here so I can only guess she's still back in Vale. Hope she's not freaking out about me...

[Yang smiles.]

Okay, that's two things! Tell me some things about you Choco...or your partner if she's okay with it.

[There was a quick glance off screen, then Choco smiles.] I can do both!

So my name is Choco, because I like chocolate, and there's another Digimon that kinda looks like me except white, called a Terriermon. Fluttershy says we're like chocolate and vanilla. When I Digivolve, I turn into a bigger rabbit called Rabbitmon.

And Fluttershy is really super nice! Back home, she takes care of animals. And she was a pegasus!

Is he called Nilla then? Or maybe Van...

[Yang is smiling because she finds it cute. She likes rabbits.]

That's really sweet though.

[Yang blinks, surprise clear on her face.]

Woah, seriously, a pegasus?

Nah, her name's Terri. She's pretty nice.

[The surprise has him puffing up, oddly proud for some reason.]

Yeah, a pegasus! She's even still got her wings!

Oooh.

[Yang was expecting some kind of paired naming thing...but, hey, that's cute too. She raises an eyebrow.]

I wasn't doubting you. I don't Disbelieve you. I'd just never met a pegasus before.

I know. But her wings are really cool, so I had to mention them! She can even still fly with them...I think.

And she's really nice once you get to know her.

That is really interesting. It must be pretty cool to fly.

Yeah, mostly. Though I think she gets kinda scared if she gets too high.

[She's kind of scared of heights...]

[Yang winces. That sounds a bit unfortunate.]

Poor girl. Heights aren't too bad. Beacon Academy actually launched us from a cliff for initiation. I thought it was fun.

Yeah. I think she'll be better when she practices some more.

Probably so. I wish her luck with that. If she needs help have her come to me. I'm actually the one who taught my baby sis how to swim. It can't be that different, right?

Yeah, I guess so! Swimming is kinda like flying underwater right?

Sure I guess.

Cool!

Honey's a good name. Sounds like one my bro might've come up with.

[A soft chuckle and he smiles.] Nice to meet you guys. So, what's Beacon Academy like? [Sounds prestigious.]

Thanks. It wasn't the name I had planned, but he seems to like it so who am I to argue?

[She is very nonchalant about this.]

Oh? It's pretty fun. I go there with my sister, Ruby, and we've been training to be Hunters. We're only in our first year there, but Beacon trains some of the best and we have a good team so I think it will turn out all right.

Hey, if they can pick their own names then why not, right?

[Beat. Chris tilts his head a little, one eyebrow raised.] 'Hunters'?

[Let's call that a word he doesn't have the best associations with.]

[She nods.]

Where I come from there are these dark, destructive monsters called Grimm. It's a hunters job to slay the monsters and uphold the peace of the world.

[OH! That's better than what he was thinking.]

So, it's a school for protectors and guardians, then.

Yep. What'd you think I meant?

Honestly, my mind had gone to the definition of the word used back where I'm from. Someone who'll take a weapon of some kind and hunt wildlife for food or sport, or, unfortunately, poaching. It's that latter one I've personally come in contact with the most.

Oh...yeah we still have those in my world, too. They don't get a school though.

Yeah-heh, I was kinda hoping that wouldn't be the case. But you never know what another world's like, so...

[Lightly sheepish shrug.]

No biggie. All cleared up now.

[And he simply could not believe he was older than people like you, yang. being tiny tends to throw one off a little.]

[Yang just exudes maturity and wisdom...or it could just be her height and build. Honestly, we'll let you decide that one.]

Yep! It's a school back home that trains students how to fight and slay monsters called Grimm and uphold the peace as Hunters. It's supposed to be the best school there is for it.
