[Hello, Terminal Tokyo. It seems someone has opted for the 'start pushing buttons and see what happens' method of getting to know their D-Terminal, with the initial result being a nonsensical text message. A moment later, though, the audio cuts in, with a little girl's voice coming over the airwaves.]

-nk I got it to do something! Did that message just get sent? [slight pause] Oh wait, it's sending now! I think...? Wasn't there supposed to be pictures too?

[There's the faint sound of a few more buttons being pressed before a second voice pipes up, also sounding young and female, its tone fondly amused.]

Here, let me.

[A moment later, the video turns on, showing Terminal Tokyo a close up of the smiling face of a Salamon, who seems to be the owner of the second voice.]

There we go.

[The Salamon moves out of the way and the owner of the first voice can finally be seen, a little girl with big orange eyes and a face that's two-tone tan, as well as oddly soft-looking. The girl's face is framed by what looks like equally two-toned hair, mostly red with a broad purple stripe, that's pulled back into a short pony tail atop her head. Those looking closely might notice a few oddities, like the fact that her eyes have slit pupils, rather than round, and that a set of tiny fangs can be glimpsed in her mouth when she speaks.]

Thanks! So... um... hi, everyone. [waves to the camera with a bit of an uncertain smile] First of all, I'm Wily-Kit, and this's my partner, Emerick.

[She briefly turns the camera back on the Salamon, who waves a fore-paw, before turning it back on herself.]

Second... um... does anybody know where I can get a winter cloak, or something? I'm not really dressed for the weather around here...

[Skilled observers of backgrounds will notice that she's still in the main terminal building, apparently having opted to stay there for the moment rather than trying to find her way to her apartment in the cold, so anyone who wants to find her can do so there.]

Her name's Fluttershy.

[She brightens at the mention of the name.]

She's the one who's Rainbow Dash's friend, right? The other Pegamus pony?

I think that's 'Pegasus'.

Hehe... right, that's what I meant. The ones with the wings.

Yeah, that's right. She's a Pegasus!

Cool. Does she have rainbow hair too?

Nuh-uh. She has pink hair.

I talked to another girl with pink hair earlier. I'm gonna meet her in the cafeteria, and she said she's gonna bring me some hot chocolate.

[She briefly wonders whether that pink haired girl might be Fluttershy, but somehow doubts it. Besides, the other girl didn't have any wings that she could see.]

Oh yeah? That sounds like fun! Ooooh...! We should get some hot chocolate! Can we?

[There was a soft laugh somewhere off screen.] M-Maybe later...

Oh, is that Fluttershy back there?

[She tips the D-terminal to one side, then the other, as if expecting this to shift the camera's view on the other end so that she could see more. Needless to say, it doesn't work.]

Ok... well, hi anyway, Fluttershy!

[Kit says the last bit a bit louder, to make sure Fluttershy'd be able to hear her, even if she can't see her.]

[There's silence for a moment, then the camera shifts and blue eyes peak into the screen.]

H-Hello...

[The face that peeks into the screen is about as much the opposite of Rainbow Dash as can be, but Kit still sees the wings peeking over her shoulders, so this must be Fluttershy. She waves a bit at the screen now that Fluttershy can see her.]

Hi, I'm Wily-Kit. Were you there the whole time? You're really quiet.

[To an eight year old, the ability to be that quiet for extended periods of time is an impressive feat.]

[There's still a smile, as shy as it was, as Fluttershy returns the wave.]

I-I've been...listening. It's nice to meet you...I-I'm Fluttershy.

[Kit smiles right back, but she turns down the excitement level a notch or two, as it quickly becomes clear that Fluttershy is the quiet type. She grins a little sheepishly.]

I hope you don't mind that your partner kinda volunteered you to make me stuff. Cause you really don't have to, ya know, if you don't want to.

[She shakes her head a little.] N-No, it's all right. I-I've been making a lot of things already, s-so I'd be happy to make something for you too.

Well, maybe I could help some anyway? I used to help Mamma with the mending sometimes, so I know how to sew.

[True, her sewing isn't exactly the neatest ATM, but it's very secure, and hey, practice makes perfect, right?]

O-Oh, I wouldn't want to trouble you. I've been knitting a lot of things, so this is no problem.

[Kit seems to think about this for a moment.]

Well, if you're sure...

Maybe I could do something else for you though? I mean, it kinda doesn't feel right, asking somebody you just met to just make you stuff.

W-Well I don't mind helping. I-I know what it's like to be in a strange place suddenly, so if I can do anything to make it easier for you, I'm glad to.

[She pauses for a moment.] B-But...if it would make you feel better...I-I guess that would be all right.

[Kit shrugs a little.] It's not the first time something weird or scary's happened to me. But thanks.

And I know what I'll do; I'll fix you something to eat!

[Because food is forever a good present.]

What kind of stuff do you like?

Well...I like vegetarian dishes...non-meat items...

Hmm... Too bad I don't have any candyfruit with me. I bet you'd like that!

[Because srsly, who doesn't like candyfruit?

Some kinda fruit, though, that's an idea... Kit thinks a moment, then snaps her fingers.]

I got it! I'll make you some fruit-bread! I used to help Mamma make it for Rammastide every year. It's really good, especially when it's still warm from the oven.

Oh...that sounds delicious...!

OK! It's settled then. You knit me something, and I'll make you some fruit bread.

[Pause... and she seems to realize the temporary snag in this plan, grinning sheepishly.]

Just as soon as I get some actual ingredients and stuff.

[She smiles.] That sounds fair.

M-Maybe you can try the cafeteria in the Meeting Hall? They have some food down there...

[Kit nods.]

I'm already meeting another girl with pink hair there for hot chocolate. She said I can get free food there, so maybe I'll see if I can get some ingredients too.

A-Another girl with...? Oh, do you mean Jinx?

Yes, Chosen can get food for free in the Meeting Hall. I'm sure they wouldn't mind giving you some ingredients.
