[Hello, Terminal Tokyo. It seems someone has opted for the 'start pushing buttons and see what happens' method of getting to know their D-Terminal, with the initial result being a nonsensical text message. A moment later, though, the audio cuts in, with a little girl's voice coming over the airwaves.]

-nk I got it to do something! Did that message just get sent? [slight pause] Oh wait, it's sending now! I think...? Wasn't there supposed to be pictures too?

[There's the faint sound of a few more buttons being pressed before a second voice pipes up, also sounding young and female, its tone fondly amused.]

Here, let me.

[A moment later, the video turns on, showing Terminal Tokyo a close up of the smiling face of a Salamon, who seems to be the owner of the second voice.]

There we go.

[The Salamon moves out of the way and the owner of the first voice can finally be seen, a little girl with big orange eyes and a face that's two-tone tan, as well as oddly soft-looking. The girl's face is framed by what looks like equally two-toned hair, mostly red with a broad purple stripe, that's pulled back into a short pony tail atop her head. Those looking closely might notice a few oddities, like the fact that her eyes have slit pupils, rather than round, and that a set of tiny fangs can be glimpsed in her mouth when she speaks.]

Thanks! So... um... hi, everyone. [waves to the camera with a bit of an uncertain smile] First of all, I'm Wily-Kit, and this's my partner, Emerick.

[She briefly turns the camera back on the Salamon, who waves a fore-paw, before turning it back on herself.]

Second... um... does anybody know where I can get a winter cloak, or something? I'm not really dressed for the weather around here...

[Skilled observers of backgrounds will notice that she's still in the main terminal building, apparently having opted to stay there for the moment rather than trying to find her way to her apartment in the cold, so anyone who wants to find her can do so there.]

[Kit nods. Some of what she was seeing reminded her of Thundara after Mumm-ra and the Lizards got through with it.]

Yeah, looks like they did a lot of damage. Are they still around?

Hmm... and how about I come get it then? I need to learn my way around anyway. What's your name by the way?

They're not around the city, and Lotusmon was killed when we fought her. Titamon's still someone we need to worry about though.

[ She pauses, but then smiles. ]

My name's Chika, and sure, I don't mind you coming down to get it. We can talk a bit more in person too!

[Kit nods at the information. She's sort of glad that at least one of the attackers was gone, but at the same time feels a little bad about being glad that somebody's dead, even if they were a bad guy. She decides not to worry about it, though, since it's over and done with anyway.

The future visit is deemed of much greater importance.]

OK, Chika! I'll come see you once I'm all settled, OK?

Yeah! That sounds great. See you soon Wily-Kit!

[ Though now that Chika thought about it, she might need to come up with a bit of a nickname for the other girl. Kit's name felt a bit weird to say. ]

[Kit nods cheerfully.]

[ OOC: Okay, I'm totally fine with it on my end! ]

[Kit arrives at Chika's door, Emerick at her heels. She pauses to make certain that she has the right place before knocking on the door.]

Chika? It's Wily-Kit. Can I come it?

[ Chika doesn't jump or anything when she hears that knock, but she does make sure to get to her feet quickly so that she can answer the door. ]

Hi Wily-Kit. Come on in!

[ She moves a bit so that the girl and her digimon can come in without any problems. ]

Did you have any problems while you were coming here?

[Kit and Emerick come inside when the door is opened.]

Thanks. And nope no problems. Not with Emerick there to read the signs for me.

[ Chika blinked at that, surprised that the other girl can't read yet. But then again, different worlds, different things that were important.

Speaking of important, sweatshirt. Need to go get that. ]

Well, that's good. Anyway, the sweatshirt's over this way in my room.

[ She's going to go over to her door and open it now, waving Kit inside. It's rather... well, it's actually pretty neat, considering that a ten year old girl is living in it alone with only a pink bird. There's a couple of stuffed animals and stuff, but other than that it doesn't really look like a little girl's room yet.

Too many fights and stuff getting in the way of getting decorations. Still, it worked for what it was, and Chika goes over to the bed and grabs the sweatshirt before handing the bright pink garment over to Kit.]

I hope it fits okay. But I don't think you're going to have too many problems with it. It's not a coat, but it's better than summer clothes.

[Kit nods and follows Chika to her room. Looking around, Kit spots the stuffed animals and looks like she wants to go check them out, but, priorities. She accepts the sweatshirt gladly.]

Thanks! This'll really come in handy.

[She puts it on, just to try it on for size, and... it's about a size and a half too big. Unsurprising, as Kit is rather small and bony. But she doesn't seem to care in the slightest.]

Yeah, this'll work great! It's even warmer than my old winter clothes back home.

[ Chika giggles when she sees Kit wearing her shirt like that. It's... she's not used to really being bigger than someone else. But even still, it's not like it's that much of a problem. ]

I'm glad that I had something that could help! And yeah, they are pretty warm. Sweatshirts won't help in a blizzard though, but for normal cold they're usually good if it's not freezing freezing.

[Kit nods.]

Yeah, I'd need a real winter cloak or something else waterproof for a big snow storm. Though I probly wouldn't go out in a storm anyway, unless I had to.

[Now that the shirt's been gotten, Kit indicates the stuffed animals.]

Where'd you get the cute toys?

I wouldn't be too sure about that if I were you. Sometimes the weather here is kinda crazy and it'll start snowing without any warning.

[ She pauses as she thinks about the other question. ]

There's a couple of shops and merchants around and stuff. So... I mostly got them here and there. There's a shop in the mall that I can show you some time if you want to get one of your own though. They usually have a lot of them.

[Kit looks a little surprised and slightly dubious about that particular bit of information. Sudden violent weather phenomena disturb her, because reasons.]

Really? I might have to see if I can come up with something else then.

[But on lighter thoughts, toys!]

Sure, I'd like some! I haven't had any for awhile. I used to have a lion ragdoll that Mamma made for me, but I gave it to my little sister for Rammastide a few years ago.

[ Oh no! Having to give away a toy that you liked wasn't really all that good. But well... at least it was to her sister, right. ]

Okay! We'll definitely need to visit that store sometime then! Do you really like lions? Or do you like other animals too?

[Kit thinks about this a second before replying.]

I think liked that one so much cause Mamma made it. I've got a friend who's a lion too, back home; his name's Lion-O, and he's great.

But I like lots of other animals too. My friend Aburn is an elephant, and then there's the Ro-bear Berbils. They're really nice, and they have candy fruit, which is basically the best fruit ever. Even the dogs and fish-men aren't so bad. Dogs make the best bone stew, and Lion-O's friend Jorma is one. And the fish man were alright once they quit wanting to eat us.

[ Chika blinks, trying to understand all of that. But well, she's a bit distracted by the last part. ]

Wait? Fish people wanted to eat cat-people? That seems kinda backwards.

[Kit shrugs. It seems perfectly logical, if not exactly pleasant to her.]

Captain Tunar and the cook were the only ones who really wanted to eat us, I think, but Captain Tunar decided not to eat any of the grownups once he saw what good fighters they were. And the cook was dumb; it was easy getting away from him after he'd finished 'fattening us up'.

Once Lion-O killed the Ramlak- this giant plant monster that had sucked up all the water from their oasis- and brought their water back, they all forgot about eating us anyway, and loaned us a craft to cross the Sand Sea with.

[ Cats were supposed to eat fish, not the other way around. ]

Oh. That's... I see. That makes a little bit more sense. Though really, that cook is just dumb. But I'm glad that they didn't want to do it anymore. And that that monster was taken care of, because drinking all of the water like that is just mean.

[Clearly, Chika has never met sentient fish that were bigger than her before. Cat-eating fish sound much more plausible then.]

Yeah, he was. But we got a good meal out of it anyway, and he got the spicy snack he wanted too. [giggles a little]

And yeah, I'm glad the fish-men got their home back. We've helped a lot of folks like that back home, but they were the first.

[ Nope. She hasn't. Yet. It'll probably happen eventually though, since Digital World here, and Digital World waiting for her if she ever gets sent back home. ]

That's good! But how did you end up getting caught up with helping all of those people?

Mostly we just kinda run into them while we're traveling around. And if somebody's in trouble, and we can do something about it, we can't just leave them there, ya know?
