[Gee, this looks familiar. Once again, we see a shot of this grouch of a replica seated at the end of his bed. Once again, the camera shakes... at least until Kotemon hops up, sets the D-Terminal down, and then toddles in front of the feed.]

Um... Sorry about the shakiness a second ago. I wish my legs were longer so that wouldn't be a problem, and--

Kotemon, c'mon. This isn't about video quality.

Oh! Right. [She bows her head before stepping aside.]

So, anyway, my partner still hasn't been able to choose a name, even though a lot of people have been kind enough to give him suggestions. Especially Mr. Sora. I don't know how he came up with so many names.

Most of which sounded ridiculous. [The Replica grins, reaching down to snag the Terminal.]

Trouble is, I've got too many options now, so I figured that rather than argue with Sora over it for hours on end, I'd save some trouble and just ask you guys. Not like I've got much else to do besides train.

Nox, Fenris, Kaiden, Aiden, Zane

If anyone else has good dark names, I'll give them some thought, but I'm really trying to narrow things down.

Names that have to do with darkness. Sora thinks I shouldn't let it define me, but as far as I'm concerned, it already did before.

I had wondered when you might take this step for yourself.

[It hadn't taken long for Superboy to do it, although it had been M'gann who had suggested it and it had been out of the necessity of going to school. Still, everyone needed SOMETHING to be called and the boy had been adamant about not being referred to as Riku...as they had previously discussed.

Choosing a name is important, Kaldur can see that, though he's a bit surprised that the other is actually offering to take input from others.]

Well, Sora kinda jumped at me about it. Plus, I figure if I pick something now, it'll save all of us a few headaches.

[Kotemon nods, raising one of her hands.]

And then I can finally stop calling him "you"! It feels wrong being so indirect.

[Still, it's interesting that he didn't get input this time around, not that he's gonna pry. The whole idea of choosing his own name's still so foreign, almost daunting. He knows the name's gotta be a good fit for him, but how will he know which one's the right pick?]

It makes sense. Just be sure that even with a poll like this that it is a name you also like.

[Though, he supposed that was why the replica had listed off his choices. As for why he hadn't shared his thoughts, Kaldur wasn't sure if he should. He felt like that was ultimately HIS decision and not one Kaldur should be making. It was odd, he just felt like it wasn't his place. He smiles at Kotemon's comment]

[The view shifts entirely to Sophia, sitting next to her bed and looking slightly away from the camera. She speaks slowly and carefully.] Com'mon read me them all and I think they all sound nice. I like Aiden or Zane the best. I don't know any dark names besides Blacky, but that's for a dog and not a person.

[Aww. Rep smiles when he sees her, lacking the smugness he might give others. After all, she's a kid-- a shy kid, at that. He knows better than to make her uncomfortable.]

Heh, well, no worries. As long as there's at least a couple that sound good, it's not the end of the world. I kinda figure there's a limited pool of dark names, anyway.

If we're going by meaning, Zane is probably the opposite of what you want. It means something like . . . gift of God.

Man, either Sora's got a sick sense of humor or he's too clueless to look up what those names even mean. Can't really be a gift of good when I was created.

[And yet he sounds more amused than insulted. At least it's not a negative name.]

I like Fenris best. It sounds kinda like a name somebody back where I'm from would have.

Well, I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Every world's probably got its own naming schemes.
