[A video will pop up on Maya's D-Terminal, early in the morning. It's Cam, with his Aurumon stuffed animal, and-- is he standing outside the door to her apartment? Yes. He is. He's got the owl Digimon in hand and a grin on his face.]

Gooooood morning, Maya Matlin! And Happy Birthday.

[The message doesn't quite wake her up. Hyokomon somehow got wind of it being Maya's birthday and woke her up to eat hashbrowns. Or, well. Hyokomon got Maya ketchup for her birthday. Hence the hashbrowns. Still, Maya's not entirely awake when Cam's message comes through. It's early. Why is Cam sending her messages early. Is he.

What.

Maya squints at the screen. Nope, he's definitely standing outside the apartment. Right, uh. Yeah. Maybe she should. Go get him. But pants first, because she's done the thing before and Hyokomon and yeah.

Swallowing her hashbrowns, Maya locates some jeans that are relatively clean and pulls them on before going out and opening the door to the apartment.]

. . . Hi? [Smooth, Matlin.] Hyokomon made hashbrowns.

[No one should misunderstand, Cam is not what you would call a "morning person," he's just used to countless morning practices, waking up before the sun to get to the rink, just enough to know how to fake it. He can look like a morning person, and compared to Maya's clearly sleepy gaze, he's fresh and ready.

Her less-than-coordinated words, to be clear, are incredibly cute, but Cam is on a mission, so he will not comment on it quite yet.] Hey there. They taste good?

[The whole time he's got this little curvy smile on his face, so utterly proud with himself.]

They taste like hashbrowns. I think they're a ketchup delivery device. [Turning, Maya leaves space for Cam to come in because she figures that if he's there then that's what he wants.] What brings you here so early?

[As Cam passes Maya, he holds up Aurumon.] Owl play-date, of course. Oh, and...

[He pulls out a little mp3 player from his hoodie pocket.] Your gift.

[Shutting the door with one hand, Maya reaches for the mp3 player with the other.] My gift? What is it?

Why don't you scroll through and listen?

[He then pulls a little charm from his pocket.] And this, by the way. You know, for your big show.

[Maya is so busy scrolling through the music and reading all these titles she doesn't know that she almost misses Cam saying something else.]

My what? [Looking up, Maya blinks at the charm and then smiles.] I was wondering if you'd get me one.

'Course I would, it was your biggest audience.

[The fact that she's distracted is a good thing; he takes her free hand and places the charm in it.] I asked around. [The mp3 player.] Figured with so many different worlds, they've probably got a lot of music you haven't heard. So...

[The rest speaks for itself.]

[. . . !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Cam's words sink in and Maya realizes that oh my god he got music from everywhere for her. An unholy glee spreads across her face, and she nearly tackles Cam.]

You're the best.

[She likes it. She likes it!! Okay, he knew she'd like it, but still, she likes it!

So there's a wall behind him and she's not that strong, but Cam's still glad it's there to support him anyway, because she takes him by surprise. He stumbles just a bit and wraps his arms around her right back, trying not to laugh.]

Woke you up, huh?

Music does that to a girl. [Maya is happy, ok. Music!!!!] You have to tell everyone thank you for me. Because I have no idea who they are.

[If he had his hands free he would raise them.] Promised anonymity for those who wanted it, but I'll put out a blanket thanks. I don't know who gave me what songs, but I remember every person I got it from. [He is so proud he got a good gift, all on his own. His own idea. His own. Him!!! Maybe smug.]
