The emperor's clothes trick!

[Trixie casually strolls out of her room with her PawnChessmon hot on her heels looking flustered. This is because she's only wearing her hat and her cape. She informs him to turn on the communicator and he fumbles with it as she passes through the living room heading for the door.

The first image to appear on the network is of her bubbly blue butt complete with matching moon and stars markings on the sides like a tattoo. The camera pans up and she turns to face the camera with a flourish of her cape and flashing her modest sized bare chest in the process]

Greetings adoring fans! It is I, the Great and Powerful Trixie!

And Trixie is curious. With the city all smashed up are there ANY businesses open? Preferably where Tricie can procure more of those lovely peanut butter crackers they had in the vending machine near the main Terminal?

[not even mentioning the nudity... Because why would she?]

Do they respect and recognize Equestrian culture as well?

Because Trixie only had the one outfit when she arrived here and she doubts it is socially acceptable to wear the same outfit every day for weeks.

B-But we're not in Equestria right now. We're human...and we kind of need to follow human rules.

A-And actually it's...not bad to wear the same things for a few days. I-It's kind of like camping...But um...There were some clothing stores where you could by a few more things. But I guess with all the construction that makes it a little difficult. If you'd like, I have a few things you could borrow...

Trixie did not choose to be made human and does not see why she should be required to live like one because fate has forced her form.

...but she supposes if everyone is going to keep yelling at her then she should do something.

[A labored sigh. Don't you see how much of a hassle this is humans?]

None of us asked to be made this way. But as long as we are, we should follow the rules that we're now a part of.

If this suddenly happened back home, where humans were suddenly brought in to Equestra, we'd like them to follow our rules, wouldn't we?

But we can still help them. And there are people here offering to help you too, Trixie. This hasn't happened to just you, and you don't have to do it alone either.

[She really really REALLY wishes she could argue with any of that]

O-Oh w-well... [She glances away, a little embarrassed.] N-Not...usually, really...

Then clearly being human has changed you.

If you were this outspoken and persuasive last time Trixie caused trouble in Ponyville she would have put you to work.

W-Well...maybe a little. I...guess I have gotten a little braver...But I've had...a lot of help...

Y-You...still did put me to work, though...last time we saw each other...

Did I? What were you doing?

Trixie's memories of that period are...vague.

[A lie, but she's still ashamed of that entire debacle.]

You had...me and Rainbow Dash hanging up banners with your picture on them...

Oh! Yes those banners were lovely.

Did you do a good job?

...I-I don't...really remember...

[She didn't quite remember much of that herself. Mostly she just remembered having to traverse the Everfree forest to find Twilight.

But that's not the issue here.]

A-Anyway...W-We...need to find you some clothes. Especially since it's starting to get colder...

Well if Trixie must borrow clothing until she can find a shop so be it.

[sigh] so troublesome. Trixie still doesn't understand why. But the humble and apologetic Trixie dares not invoke the ire of this town.

I-It's...a modesty issue. Certain...features...of the human body need to be...covered.

B-But maybe if you think about it differently, it'd be easier? B-Back home we have...a coat that covers our bodies, and it keeps us warm for the most part...it protects us.

Human bodies don't quite have that. They're a little more...exposed. So they wear clothes...to keep them warm...and protect themselves.

I-It might not seem like much, but...it does help.

Hmm...in a primitive feral kind of way it makes sense.

What awkward impossible bodies, no hooves or fur or wings, how did they ever last this long?

They've adapted...just like any creature that wants to survive. They find a way.

Well...Trixie has always prided herself on her improvisational talents.

And you'll have help. Everything will turn out all right.

You are as uplifting as. Your voice is soft and difficult to hear. Trixie thanks you humbly.
