amygdalae: inspire. expire. (inhale. exhale.)

[Bruce may not say it, but he understands exactly what Narukami is getting at. For him, emotions too are a dangerous thing. Feeling too much can lead to... some rather terrible consequences, and the stronger it gets... the worse that outcome will be. It's why he's distanced himself from everything, doesn't allow himself anything, will never let himself come close to anything. He had done his part by saving New York and stopping Loki. Surely that was enough. There was a limit to what he could allow himself to do before it got too dangerous.

But, still... all Bruce knows these days is anger and rage and pain and sadness. He supposes, then, if he has a chance to experience something else - the results would be pretty terrifying. To put it mildly.]

Repeated exposure reduces stimulus. [Very scientific, but its the best way Bruce can put it across.] A potential, instead, then, rather than just what an output would provide.

[That does make a bit more sense, he supposes - especially when he thinks about Tony, who is fire and passion and emotion combined.]
