Ey' folks! Betcha ya thought we was dead again, huh? Not this time! Hic just fell asleep for a month.

Naaah, we just needed ta'get away from town for a while. Yaknow, clear our heads and junk. I mean I'm pretty sure dyin' kinda takes a toll on a guy, don'tcha think? We weren't alone or sucked off by some data stream this time, at least. Nah, we had BWG with us!

[From the corner of the feed Kotemon can be seen, cautiously patting Fearless' side.]

So um....he's...um....our friend now, right?

You kiddin'? BWG was always our friend kid!

[Wow ok, looks like someone got over their paralyzing BlackWargreymon fear.]

BWG's my man, I'll tell ya that much! Now see I just gotta get workin' on gettin' ta' Ultimate...

But anyways, so what'd we miss?

[Hiccup can be heard groaning from the other end of the room as he tinkers with his leg with a screwdriver.]

You know, I'm pretty sure they want to talk to me, not you.

[He pauses when he says that though, wincing. He didn't hear about that.]

...It's not your fault. When the lights went out, a few months back...Fearless dark digivolved too, and ended up getting killed not long after nearly leveling the Purity District.

...I'm just glad you're ok.

... I'd been through it once before, Hiccup. Once, when my teammate had been forced to betray us, I thought he'd really gone over to the dark side. I evolved Agumon to something horrible. It hurt him just as bad as this did.

But this... this was different. I didn't feel betrayed, Hiccup. I wasn't afraid. I wasn't making a mistake believing it was the right thing...

... I just wanted to destroy everything... prove I was better... stronger, tougher...

I don't want to think that's still inside'a me...

[Hiccup falls silent for a moment, watching Masaru sadly.

After the pause he slowly shakes his head.]

I...I don't think it is, Masaru. I would be surprised if it was, honestly.

You just.....don't seem like the kind of person to hold onto something like that.

But I still hate what that thing turned me into.

You know, it's kinda good just... talking to someone about it. One on one.

What I really want to do is vent my frustrations by fighting, though, but... who would want to spar with me after all that?

Kotemon here keeps telling me how much she wants to keep training. She's just...a little shy is all.

But I'll warn you. Neither of us are going to be going easy on her.
