What is this? It just -- I was talking to someone, and it just appeared.

[She frowns.] You may have been made for someone else...but the fact that you're here...that you're not him...means that you have a life of your own.

Our Digimon...our first partners...are like that too. They're all a piece of the "real" Digimon, broken off and taken from them..."imperfect" models of what the "real" Digimon should have been.

But that doesn't matter, does it? The fact that they're supposedly just a fragment of other Digimon doesn't make them any less real, any less important, does it? They're a piece of those Digimon...but they're not those Digimon. Not anymore. They are their own living creature, with their own thoughts and feelings, different from the models they were taken from.

But they all still deserve a chance to live...because they're already alive. And it's the same for you as well.

[But then he goes quiet, looking off-camera while she talks.]

That's why I kept him. Why I can't get rid of him. [And why he finally bonded with the hell muppet.] He's not a program, though. Not like I was... am. His feelings are real. His emotions. His heart.

[Or so he thinks, anyway.]

But you're not...No matter what you were back in your world, you're human now. Right here, in this place, your just as real, as alive as everyone else.

And you were brought here for a reason. All of us here, we were chosen to be something, because of who we were back home. The world saw you had something to offer...that's why it brought you here to help.

I don't want to be chosen. I don't want to be here. Or be human. He's supposed to be the perfect one.

If he isn't, if I'm suddenly more worthy than he is, then... then I failed him.

Why does that have to mean you're more worthy? Can't you both be equally important in different things?

I never thought ... being apart from him would be this difficult to do.
