I tried the meditating. I don't really know which way the sun is, though, so I don't know how useful that is.
As far as what's around me... It's really dark. Like, Dark Field dark, only I can kind of see things in the light of my D-terminal.
I tried launching a fireball at the sky before to find out if anyone could see it, but... no luck. This was easier when I had a map.
