[A Strabimon comes into focus on the screen. He looks vaguely concerned, and a Hyokomon can be seen yelling MAYA over and over again in the background.]

Are there any Chosen on the island of San Francisco that would be willing to help Hyokomon and I locate our partner, Maya? She was supposed to be back by now, but it's probable that she got distracted by something.

[Hyokomon has switched from just yelling Maya's name to yelling various threats of never-ending house arrest. Strabimon glances over his shoulder and sighs.]

Maya is a little over five feet tall, has blond hair, and was last seen wearing an owl hat and a sweater with an owl on it. She also had a cello strapped to her back, and we would be very grateful if you had any information about her whereabouts.

"Friend" is one way of putting it. [Strabimon kind of chuckles. He thinks it's really funny to call Maya Cam's friend.] And yes, we are on the island of San Francisco. Maya tells me it is not an island in her world.

Yeah...hah...she's right. H'it's not an island where I come from either anyway. On a peninsula, sure, but not an island. And it's a huge city...

[Cities are way easier to get lost in than dense jungles or vast deserts so far as he's concerned.]

...Are there people still living there?

[He's actually not sure he wants to know the answer to that.]

Yes, it is a large city-island and no, there aren't any people here aside from a few Chosen - although there are quite a few roaming Digimon.

[Strabimon turns the camera so a pack of four or five Hawkmon walking across the street is visible.]

[Aww, well now, the Hawkmon are cute. Almost completely makes up for the more than a little unnerving idea of a people-less San Francisco. ...Or the idea of the San Francisco he's familiar with back home having vanished.

How long has it been since you last saw Maya?

Twelve hours, give or take? Hyokomon told Maya to be back before sunrise when she left yesterday and we arrived in the late afternoon.

[He doesn't have a watch. He doesn't know.]

Hmmm...hopefully she just got turned around. If it's anything like the San Francisco back in my world, it's gotta be huge. Really easy to get a little lost in...

[He looks up in thought.]

It'd be great if you could get an aerial view of the city...is there anything or anyone there who could get you a bird's eye view?

[That seems a better way, since searching by ground could take hours or even days.]

It is rather large. [Aerial view, huh? Strabimon turns around to speak to Hyokomon, who's not visible onscreen.] Hyokomon, can you fly?

Not well. [Pause.] At least not in this form.

[Worth a try.] Perhaps Lucemon will be able to help on that front when Cam gets here.

There you go. With any luck, you'll be able to spot her from the air if she's on the move.

[Assuming Lucemon are pretty good at seeing things from a distance.]

It'll also make searching the city in sections easier if you have to eventually look for her on foot.
