[The D-Terminal is showing a new face today, and it doesn't look happy. This little Impmon has been lost for a while now.]

Okay, I think I got this thing working. So what's the deal here? One minute we saved the Digital World, the next minute it's all gone to heck and there's a new big bad Digimon destroying everything? What's the deal here? I can't find my friends! I can't even find my partners!

How long was I out for, anyway!?

[He inhales. Sighs. You're gonna be nice, Impmon. You're gonna be friendly and polite. Even though you're mad. You're gonna be nice.

When he talks again, his voice sounds significantly more calm, though still distinctly unhappy.]

Okay, sorry. Sometimes I lose my head. Uh, Guilmon, Renamon, Ai, Mako... heck, I'd even settle for seeing the cream-puff again at this point. If you're out there, let me know.

[His voice immediately takes a hard edge to it again.]

Not that I'm afraid or anything! I just don't want any of you tiny-brained numbskulls gettin' into trouble while I'm not around to watch your back!

[The message ends. Impmon will be exploring Hospitown trying to find a familiar face, but he won't object to meeting a new friend who's willing to help him out!

Well. He may object. But he probably won't actually mind.]

It's good! ...Well, it's been better, since we had to just migrate here, but it's not bad! [A frown sets on her face.] You're missing your partners? It's just like Guilmon, before Takato-kun got here... This world might be a little rough for Ai and Mako-chan, though.

"Yeah, I guess you're probably right. Especially with all this stuff about digimon destroying cities and everything. Wouldn't want anything to happen to 'em."

[He hesitates, fidgeting uncomfortably in place. Talking to Juri was a little awkward. Talking to Juri about digimon partners was even worse.]

"Anyway, I'm... I'm glad you're doin' okay."

[A slight realization rises on Juri's face- of course of course of course he doesn't know oh--]

Leomon!

[She calls off-screen. For a moment, it's quiet, then-] Juri, is something wrong?! [Accompanied by hurried footsteps.]

No, no, not at all! Another friend's here! It's Impmon!

Oh... [In contrast, Leomon can't be seen; he sounds subdued.]

[Have you ever seen an Impmon's face in sheer panic, Juri?

Because if not, you're about to. Leomon. LEOMON. He was here. Oh man, what if he was angry?

Of course he'd be angry. Why wouldn't he be? He had every right to be. Impmon would be.]

"... L... Leomon's al- here? That's great. That's really, uh. Heheh. L-Leomon! Buddy! How, uh, how ya been?"

[She at the very least recognizes that shocked look; she knows of course he won't want to do this, but...

There's some shifting. Juri holds the D-Terminal so it's viewing Leomon, who appears, to his credit, rather calm.]

Hello, Impmon. Are you in HospiTown?

[His immediate impulse is to lie. Lie, run, and hide.

He doesn't. Which he thinks is pretty friggin' decent of him, by the way. Instead he just nods.]

"Yeah. I dunno my way around yet, though, so I don't know where I am."

Outside, there is a cafe. Juri and I are by it. I'd like to speak to you there.

[Jeez, can a Digimon be any more impassive? There's not much to tell what he's thinking, from the look on his face.]

[No. No no. Don't do it. No. No no no no no no-]

"A-alright. I'll be there."

[... Fine.

Well, true to his word, he immediately switches off the video and heads out to find Juri and Leomon.

And tries very hard not to let the thoughts of guilt or possible payback linger too long in his mind. With limited success.]

[It's not a very long walk. There's still enough time for Juri to switch off the D-Terminal and mentally bite her tongue, to keep from quietly telling Leomon that Impmon did so much to help her, that Impmon really was sorry, that it's alright--

Because how can she have the right, to tell him what to feel and think? She forgave Impmon. That doesn't mean Leomon has to.

Still, as he approaches, Juri can't fight a small smile, at the sight of his red bandana and purple skin.] Impmon! Oh, over here!

[Behind her, Leomon remains, arms crossed.]

[Ah, there they are. Yeesh. Both of 'em.

And Leomon certainly didn't look to be in a very forgiving mood.

Still, he was gonna face this. He owed that much to both of 'em. So he kept walking closer until the hulking leonine silhouette was fairly looming over him.]

"Hey, uh, Juri. Leomon. It's good to, uh... see you guys..."

[Juri starts toward him as well, just a little, and she looks down with a gentle smile.] Impmon... You were just sent back to the Digital World, weren't you? Just a bit ago? We'd sent letters... Oh, I guess that doesn't matter right now, hm... [Because she glances back at Leomon, who's still watching, silent...]

[You'll have to excuse Impmon for being a bit quiet right now. It's just that Leomon is imposing as hell.]

"Well, uh... I, I didn't get 'em. Sorry. Last thing I remember before I came here, Henry's dad had sent us back to the Digital World because of the program that beat the D-Reaper."

I'm from later, then. [Sounds simple enough; even with how weird this world, the rules, how things work-- all of it, Juri just goes with it.]

It's okay, what matters is you're here now. [Without his Tamers... Could he digivolve? She worries about him getting hurt.]

Impmon. [Leomon rumbles.]

[Later, huh? Well, it still wasn't as weird as having the same Guilmon from two different times. Might as well go with it.

Impmon flinches when Leomon addresses him directly.]

"Y... y-yeah?"

[A moment of silence. As if he's deliberating. He...]

You tried to protect Juri, in my...absence. Thank you.

Leomon...

[He's torn between relief and even more guilt. Juri wouldn't have needed him to protect her at all if the person who should have been protecting her hadn't been killed. Heck, she probably wouldn't have been caught by the D-Reaper at all.

He nods awkwardly, swallowing the lump in his throat before speaking quietly.]

"Yeah. It... it seemed like the least I could do..."

[Very slowly, Leomon kneels a little. Maybe that makes him seem less intimidating?]
