[The D-Terminal is showing a new face today, and it doesn't look happy. This little Impmon has been lost for a while now.]

Okay, I think I got this thing working. So what's the deal here? One minute we saved the Digital World, the next minute it's all gone to heck and there's a new big bad Digimon destroying everything? What's the deal here? I can't find my friends! I can't even find my partners!

How long was I out for, anyway!?

[He inhales. Sighs. You're gonna be nice, Impmon. You're gonna be friendly and polite. Even though you're mad. You're gonna be nice.

When he talks again, his voice sounds significantly more calm, though still distinctly unhappy.]

Okay, sorry. Sometimes I lose my head. Uh, Guilmon, Renamon, Ai, Mako... heck, I'd even settle for seeing the cream-puff again at this point. If you're out there, let me know.

[His voice immediately takes a hard edge to it again.]

Not that I'm afraid or anything! I just don't want any of you tiny-brained numbskulls gettin' into trouble while I'm not around to watch your back!

[The message ends. Impmon will be exploring Hospitown trying to find a familiar face, but he won't object to meeting a new friend who's willing to help him out!

Well. He may object. But he probably won't actually mind.]

[He leans into the camera comically, feline eyes narrowed like they're hiding a secret.]

That's top secret.

Like, 'if I told you, I'd hafta to kill ya' kind of top secret.

[~~Actually, Vanguard's got no clue.~~]

"What? Hey, are you messin' with me again? Well, I'd just like to see you try and kill me, pee-wee!"

[... He says, despite his own tiny size.]

"I got a right to know as much as anybody does!"

[... Not that he's easy to rile up. Nope. Not Impmon.]

Pee-wee?

[If he were a bird, his feathers would be sufficiently ruffled. His otherwise high and might expression becomes an indignant pout.]

Have you looked in the mirror lately?

"Yeah, well, I can get a lot taller than this! Jerk!"

[... Every time he starts to like Vanguard, Vanguard goes and makes him mad. And then he does something that makes Impmon like him again, only to make him mad again.

This was becoming a little confusing.]

"So come on, spill the beans! What do we do? Where do we start? C'mon, tell me!"

[Vanguard crosses his arms.]

Yeah? Well, So can I. When... Bee finally gets his rear into gear.

[That last part is muttered specifically because he knows the Chosen can digivolve their partners into bigger and taller forms. Bee just... hasn't figured out how yet. Or something. VANGUARD'S NEVER DIGIVOLVED, OKAY, CUT HIM SOME SLACK.]

[He just stares at Impmon with narrowed eyes, like he's planning on keeping his lips zipped... until he leans back in his chair.]

Fine. Whatever. Because I'm so nice and not short in any way. I'll tell you something.

Those digimon who are butting heads... [He counts on his fingers, trying to list them off.] Sakuyamon. Titamon. The ones who attacked Tokyo... What've you heard about them?

[Oh. He was actually answering the question.

Impmon... genuinely did not expect that.]

"Sakuyamon? Y'mean Renamon and Rika are here?"

[Vanguard raises an eyebrow. One name sounds vaguely human and the other's clearly a digimon, but he's not sure if they're talking about the same thing. He has to clarify one thing before he answers:]

Are those guys partners or something?

"Yeah. They Matrix-Digivolve into Sakuyamon. Unless this is a different Sakuyamon."

[Course, there were other Impmons, so another Sakuyamon wouldn't be that out of the question. Gah, how did people keep track, anyway?]

Probably not the same. [Then he adds as an afterthought.] Sorry...

You wouldn't want this to be the Sakuyamon you know anyway. Rumor is that this one's at the forefront of this whole mess. These big bad digimon are at each others' throats about whether or not this world should be merged or separated or whatever. Some of them call themselves Olympus XII.

[Violent? At each other's throats? That definitely wasn't the Renamon he knew.]

"So why are they fighting about it? Can't they just talk it over?"

If they did, it'd make things easier for all of us. The biggest jerk of them all's apparently Titamon.

He has this thing called... [He thinks for a moment on it] ARcloner? And it's major bad news.

"Why, what does it do?"

[He ought to know, if he plans on feeding this jerk a Corona Destroyer.]

[There is along pause as Vanguard simply stares at Impmon for an uncomfortably long time, stare unwavering.]

[Then, flatly:] Top secret.

[Actually, Vanguard has no idea.]

"Another friggin' secret? Quit jerkin' me around, here!"

[He scowls.]

"You don't even know, do you? You've been messin' with me this whole time!"

[He exhales in a long sigh.]

Well, okay. I'm not jerking you around about Olympus-whatever and the digimon grudge matches. And the ARCloner is bad news. That much is true.

We just ... don't really know what it does. Exactly. Besides clone fake digimon or make creepy things like Dark Fields.

Bee is planning to find out and stop it, if it's really as bad as everyone says it is. Somehow.

"Woah, woah, wait. Dark Fields? What's a Dark Field?"

[Though cloning digimon seemed bad enough. He didn't even want to think about what could happen if a cloned Beelzemon got loose, especially if most of the digimon partners around here hadn't made it past Ultimate yet.]

You got me. But everybody seems to be afraid of em.

I'll tell ya. You picked one heck of a time to wake up in the digital world. Everything's one step away from crazy.
