[Early in the afternoon on the 23rd, a short and simple text message came from what might have been a familiar D-Terminal.]

I have, at present, two questions.

1) What's the date, exactly?

2) Rider. Are you still here?

[Not very long after that message was sent out, one could find an unfamiliar figure wandering the hospital in long strides as though acquainting himself with the layout. Though he had the decency not to start smoking inside, the oddly tall individual seemed to be mildly annoyed about something or other as he went about his path through the building.]

Of course it is. [Waver was fully aware he probably smelled like cigar smoke and the sharp scent of chemicals, and for the first time that almost annoyed him. Hopefully, Hollyleaf wouldn't be too put off by it.] I think you're the first person other than Rider to recognize me right off.

You... You've changed. [She swallows.] You don't even smell the same, but there's... There's something that smells like Waver Velvet-- How long have you been gone? It's been days for us.

I know--rather, Rider already cleared up the time discrepancy. I think it goes without saying it's been a few days many times over for me.

You told me about years before... You were eighteen. How old are you now?

I turned twenty-eight not too long ago.

Ten. Ten more.

[She...has to sit down.]

Well...I can't really argue. Even for humans, nine or ten years isn't a small amount of time.

There wasn't really much to be done about it. I had--still have--things at home that needed to be accomplished, so I went on with my life.

[She nods slowly.] I understand. If I went back, I'd also... [Um. To a point.]

It must be more surprising to even be back.

It's...extremely disorienting, to tell you the absolute truth. I'll likely have a hell of a time getting myself in order.

I'll help yo, however I can. No matter how old you are, you're still my-- well...my former denmate. And my friend.

About that. I don't suppose you'd protest too much if I were to simply up and move back in, would you?

...I've been a little lonely here. I'd love it. If anyone gets assigned, you'll have to high-tail it, though.
