[This is Duo all curled up in his bathroom. So many videos of the people he knows being turned into animals or machines. ESPECIALLY MACHINES. They all look like mobile suits, and he's just going to stay inside and away from everyone. He does have one thing to say....]

You all are nuts!

[He gulps and narrows his eyes at the feed before he presses his forehead to his knees.]

[There's the bang of Terriermon against the door before Duo cuts the feed.]

[Duo is quiet for a long moment before shrugging his shoulders.]

[Duo just hugs Hisame tighter as Terriermon and the baby digimon enter the room.]

Terriermon smiles at the others before looking around for teh baby digimon. Apparently MetalKoromon is excited about the new surroundings. The little mouse looking thing skitters around the room, chirping in a metallic tone before the tip of his tail sparks.]

[Okay, now the problem clicks a little better. He can understand that sentiment. Unknown creatures can be scary.

But that's what he and his brother work to help with. Fear of the unknown or misunderstood.]

Heeey, it's okay. ...H'I think this took everybody a little by surprise.

[That's an understatement but he smiles reassuringly anyway.]

They might look different, but they're still the same Chosen you knew on the inside. None of them would want to hurt you.

[Well, at least all of the ones Martin knows anyway. He's fairly certain none of the Chosen here would do anything harmful to anyone though.]

[Don't take offense, Fluttershy. There are no talking animals where he's from. Actually, he hasn't really run into anything before besides dogs, cat, and rats. There's no reason to have many animals up in space, after all.]

[He actually doesn't know any of them terribly well. But he's never seen anything that'd suggest they mean anyone any harm persay either.]

Awww, heh...yeah, they look kinda scary on the outside, huh? H'there's some robots back where I come from that I wouldn't be too keen on seeing here either. But the ones here are alright. They're the same Chosen on the inside too, after all.

[Duo doesn't respond at first. He goes completely silent, almost like he's not even there before he mumbles.]

[Duo pulls back from Hisame, looking much calmer than he did before. Finally, something normal.]

I'm Terriermon. I was waiting for Duo when he got here. I didn't know he already had a partner before me, but that's all right.

[MetalKoromon chirps happily and starts to circle around Terriermon, the tip of his tail sparking. Seems that the baby doesn't mind having the second partner around, either.]

[Duo doesn't take deep breaths. He's not a deep breaths kind of person. If anything, he just seems to try and curl in more on himself.]

He winces and rubs the back of his neck. Sounds like this kid has seen some really tough things...]

Yeah-heh...the robots I've encountered back home kinda do that too...

[Granted on a far more child-friendly scale, and it's contained largely to endangered creatures and their habitats, but the point still remains.

He raises an eyebrow though as something occurs to him.]

Lemme ask ya though, Duo...did the mobile suits back home have somebody behind them making them work? Somebody that was controlling them or giving them commands that made them do what they'd do?
