[This is Duo all curled up in his bathroom. So many videos of the people he knows being turned into animals or machines. ESPECIALLY MACHINES. They all look like mobile suits, and he's just going to stay inside and away from everyone. He does have one thing to say....]

[He gulps and narrows his eyes at the feed before he presses his forehead to his knees.]

[There's the bang of Terriermon against the door before Duo cuts the feed.]

[He jerks his head up, hoping for the person he had talked to before. But is met with a horse face. His eyes go wide and he looks like he's getting ready to scream.]

[Duo actually doesn't scream, but he doesn't look happy. This is all new to him, and it scares him. And what better way to handle fear than with anger, right? Not right.]

[The muffled sound of Terriermon's voice can barely be made out off screen.]

[He lifts his head off his knees just enough that his eyes can be seen, and stares at the two on the other end. Tatara is wearing the scarf Duo bought. That...may or may not be a blush appearing just below his eyes.]

They're all different! They're not how they were and--

[And for someone who hasn't been around animals other than maybe a few dogs and cats, it's more than a little overwhelming.]

[Okay, now the problem clicks a little better. He can understand that sentiment. Unknown creatures can be scary.

But that's what he and his brother work to help with. Fear of the unknown or misunderstood.]

Heeey, it's okay. ...H'I think this took everybody a little by surprise.

[That's an understatement but he smiles reassuringly anyway.]

They might look different, but they're still the same Chosen you knew on the inside. None of them would want to hurt you.

[Well, at least all of the ones Martin knows anyway. He's fairly certain none of the Chosen here would do anything harmful to anyone though.]

[That throws him for a second because the first thing that comes to mind are tuxedos that move Then he realizes what he must be talking about.]

Oh the robots...

[He actually doesn't know any of them terribly well. But he's never seen anything that'd suggest they mean anyone any harm persay either.]

Awww, heh...yeah, they look kinda scary on the outside, huh? H'there's some robots back where I come from that I wouldn't be too keen on seeing here either. But the ones here are alright. They're the same Chosen on the inside too, after all.

[Freaking out's nothing new, it kind of happens when you make your living snapping animal's necks with your muzzle full of razor sharp teeth.]

[Duo refuses to move from his seat to go after his D-Terminal. Sorry, Kovu, you get Duo's voice and a view of the bathroom floor.]

Relax, take a few deep breathes, it makes perfect sense. It's complicated but if you really want to understand I can try and explain it to you.

[Duo doesn't take deep breaths. He's not a deep breaths kind of person. If anything, he just seems to try and curl in more on himself.]

I don't get this place...at all.
