Number I: Happy birthday to you! [Video, Backdated to the 17th]

[Hey there, Digital World. Have the smiling face of a red-haired Nobody on your D-Terminals.]

Hey there, Digital World! For those who don't know me, my name's Axel. Got it memorized?

This message isn't about me, though. It happens to be about my best friend, Roxas. Why, you may ask? Because unless I'm miscounting my days, today makes 365 days since he was born. And since it's not a leap year, last I checked, that means that today is his first birthday!

So everybody, if you see a blonde, spiky-haired kid wearing an outfit like mine today, be sure and wish him a happy birthday!

Oh and Roxas, when you see this, come meet me on the hospital roof, OK? I've got a little present of my own for you.

[Axel just looks way to amused to have not considered the potential embarrassment value of this post, but the wishes behind it are sincere. And it will be a vast improvement over the last time Axel'd seen Roxas on his birthday, no matter how it works out.]

Hey, I've only been here a few days; I don't know enough people for a surprise party. And I doubt one of the two people I have actually met would be too interested in coming anyway.

Though man, it's been a long time since anybody but Siax called me Lea. How'd you know that name anyway?

I do, though. Know people, that is. Some would be pretty excited to meet Roxas.

[ Bee and WJ, maybe. his digimon definitely. Neku... ]

Well, in any case, it's a bit late to be planning a surprise party now, so it's kind of a moot point.

...Though I'm not sure how I could tell you anything in the future, give that the last thing I remember before showing up here is fading away in Betwixt and Between. Last I checked, that was sort of a permanent thing, ya know?

Can still plan a party though.

But here's the real surprise: you're not dead. Instead of fading away, you just sorta became whole again. Anyone that was in Organization XIII should have, actually - as long as their Heartless was defeated too.

I'll leave that up to you, then. You're way better at the whole 'being social' thing than I am.

[Hence why he's been there several days and has only actually met two people.

...Wait, WUT?]

[Because he thought he'd given up his only chance at a heart after leaving the Organization for good.]

Yeah, seriously. I probably have a lot to fill you in on.

[off screen] I toldja, I'm a Digimon, not a thing! Or... whatever else you called me.

[off to the side] Hey, when you stop looking like a moogle-rabbit, I'll stop calling you one.

[back to Sora] Comments from the peanut gallery aside, I'm in F4 011 if you wanna meet there.

[ Sora snickers just a little. ] Should be nicer to your partner, you know.

Wait until you meet mine. Who I will be bringing with me.

Hey, I haven't tried to chase him away or anything.

[That's being nice, right?]

Did you get a moogle thing too? Cause Roxas' looks even more like a moogle than mine does.

Actually...

[ Sora sliiiides a bit so Axel can see behind him. Vixie and Ryu are playing *gasp* CARDS. both of them look up for a second. the Renamon smiles and offers a wave. Ryudamon just nods. ]

Roxas' really does look like a moogle, though.

You've got two? And man, they both look cooler than mine.

[He turns the camera so Sora can see the- rather annoyed-looking, by this point- Terriermon.]

Trade you for the armored one?

[OK, Axel's mostly kidding, since even he's figured out that it doesn't work that way. But hey, messing with the little critters is fun, and the green moogle-bunny's indignant expression is worth it.]

Not happening.

[ Ryu grunts, followed by a snort and goes back to what he had been doing with Vixie. Sora rolls his eyes. ]

You have another one out there anyway, Axel. [ pause. ] Maybe.

Definitely not happening.

[Axel chuckles slightly. But pays attention.]

O-kaaaay... Long as it's not another one of these guys, I guess I can deal with that. [indicates Terriermon] There's only so much cute and fuzzy I can have following me around before it ruins my reputation, ya know?

Axel... [ just shaking his head. tsk tsk. ]

Axel... I hate to break it to you, but your reputation sort of is ruined enough already.

For you, maybe, but I've still got a chance of pulling of the whole 'tough guy' thing with the rest of the people here.

...Unless you've been telling embarrassing stories about me behind my back. You haven't, right?

[Terriermon pops up between Axel and the camera, grinning mischievously.]

I wanna hear some embarrassing stories about Axel!

[Axel mock-glares at the digimon now practically sitting on his lap. Though... he doesn't try to push him away.]

Nobody asked you, shorty.

Nah, not really. I wouldn't do that...

[ well, no... ]

Okay, so maybe I tried to tell my roommate. But, uh... He kinda really hates you, I think. I don't really understand it because it has to be about stuff I don't remember...

You're rooming with the Riku Replica then? Well, that must be a regular barrel of of fun. He was the first person I ran into here. Not the most stellar way to start things off...

And speaking of stuff you don't remember... yeah we kinda need to talk about that too, at some point...

[Because keeping important info from his friends got him into way too much trouble before.]

Aiden. He's picked a name and he's not really that bad of a guy...

[ but... Sora blinks. just a little confused. ]

Talk about that, huh? Only if you want to. Aiden hasn't really told me anything and I haven't really asked. Even my partner knows, but I'm not gonna force her to talk either.

OK, Aiden then.

[Axel hadn't known he picked a name.]

And yeah, easy for you to say; he doesn't have a grudge against you.

[Axel nods bit at Sora's statement.]

Yeah. Want to get it out of the way; I'm done with keeping important things from people I like. That's what screwed things up with Roxas, and I'm not doing it again.

I don't really hold grudges at all.

[ just... throwing that out there.

but hold on. Sora just... grins. ]

Oh yeah? You like me huh?

Good to know.

{Since that... might be put to the test a bit once Axel gets done explaining things.]

And yeah, what can I say? You kinda grew on me. I'm not gonna lie and say the fact that you're Roxas' Other didn't help matters, though.
