[The feed starts off with Luke this time. He's getting better at this thing! He's in his room and looking contemplative. He knows what he wants to say...but how to say things is always the hard part.]

So, obviously we've got a big battle coming up. [Yeah, that was stupid, great start Luke]I just...know there are a lot of people here who have never done anything like this before. And apparently the digimon are meant for this sort of thing, but they've also been waiting for us. So if we all just got here, most of them have probably never actually fought themselves before, right?

I think maybe we should all try to train together at least a little bit while we still have the chance? So everyone has at least some experience under their belt. The digimon will probably be doing most of the work, I guess, but even they could probably benefit from some sparring, right?

Yeah right, I don't need to train. I'm ready to fight now!

But have you ever fought anything like Beemon before? They looked a lot [stronger] bigger than you.

S-so what?

[It is seriously not a good sign when Luke is the one talking sense into you, Coronamon.

Luke sighs and turns back to the camera. His serious expression turns to more of a smile.] Well, a little bit of training always helps my pre-battle nerves, so I guess I'll be doing so anyway, if anyone wants in.

[As much as she hates fighting, she knows there's no avoiding this. With the impending attack, things were bound to happen that no one could control, whether they liked it or not.

And while she wanted to keep Lopmon safe...she also knew that, if they didn't prepare, he could get hurt far worse than she could imagine.

As much as she didn't want to...she knew they had to be ready...just in case.]

I...I-I think it would help if...we trained a little bit too...

Training is a good idea to help prepare. Where will you be? [Argh, yet another kid wanting to fight. Oh well, training is training.]

What'd you have in mind for this training? Like, the digimon sparring with each other?

It definitely won't hurt. Even if you don't want to fight [since, by the look of her, she almost definitely doesn't want to fight] it'll help if you're at least a little prepared. You know, in case you can't avoid it.

[She nods hesitantly.] Y-you're right...B-besides, I don't think...Lopmon would mind...a bit of training.

[The rabbit-like Digimon nods.] I'd like to give it a try. I could use practice!

[excuse you he is not a kid he is practically an adult. Or practically double-digits, depending on how you look at it.]

I was thinking of the park. There's plenty of space and it's right near the meeting hall, which seems to be our unofficial base of operations at this point.

Well I'm going to be doing some sword training, personally. I think I could really use the practice, it's been a while. [He THINKS it's been a while, anyway. He's not really sure how much time passed between his last battle and arriving here, but it feels like it was a long time.]

But for the digimon, yeah, it seems like sparring against each other would be most helpful.

I'll be at the park, if you want to join me. Lopmon can spar against Coronamon.

Do I have to? I don't need any stupid training!

[With a glance at Lopmon, who gives her an encouraging nod, she then looks back to Luke and nods.] O...O-okay. We'll...met you there...

[She looks unsure. Namine's never had to deal with an invasion, or has even been on the battlefield of any fight.

Lunamon however seems to be sensing her uncertainty a pipes up, surprising Namine.]

I... I'd like some training!

[smile] Hey, Namine. Lunamon.

Come join us, then! The more who come the better, I think. And it can help a lot just to feel more prepared for something like this.

[Not that he thinks they can actually get everyone even remotely prepared for the scale of what's coming in the time they have available. But THAT wouldn't be a reassuring thing to say.]

I'm in. Where do we meet, and what should I bring?

I'll be heading over to the park by the meeting hall soon. I guess the most important thing to bring along would be your digimon partner. But if you have a weapon of choice, that couldn't hurt either.

What if we don't have any kind of experience with hand-to-hand combat? The kinda thing I'm used to using in battles isn't here and I've never even tried to fight without it.

...alright then. I'll bring Guilmon.

I don't have my weapon with me right now though. Sorry.

[Lunamon waves shyly.] H-hi Luke! Is Coronamon going?

[She nods, but looks pensive. It's good to know her partner's on board, but that doesn't help uncertainty.] It may be reassuring for everyone to do something like this. I think.... only Lunamon will be training though.

Honestly? You're best bet is probably leaving it to the digimon. Rushing into a battle you don't have the experience for is dangerous for you and your teammates.

[pause.] But if you want to learn, and you can find some sort of makeshift sword, I could probably teach you a few things.

Training?

[ Welp you got his attention. ]

No problem. It's probably best to focus on getting the digimon ready at this point anyway, right? Just keeping the options open.

Well, from what the guys who knew how stuff works here said before, we basically have a snowball's chance in an oven of beating a Champion in a fistfight.

I'm Ed, by the way. It's good to meet you.

[A Gotsumon's face, close to the camera.] Training! Yes, yes, yes, ye--

[And the D-Terminal gets pulled away from him, to show Terra shaking her head and stifling a laugh.] Hold it, Gotsumon, I already said we could. [To Luke:] My partner's...enthusiastic. And I'm out of practice. Considering I wanna go out and look for the guy who went missing, I could use some training before I do.

I guess training won't hurt. Veemon and I didn't actually get a chance to train our first time in the Digital World. Digimon just have natural instincts for this stuff.

I just wouldn't over train, that can be just bad as not training at all. Actually it might be worse because then they might not have enough energy to fight.

[The person on the feed is...uncertain for a moment, but then more resolved.]

I'm... Lucemon could use some training. Maybe, if I could try...dodging. Some kinda drills.

[Luke chuckles and turns the D-Terminal so she can see Coronamon sulking] Yeah, I'll be there. But only because he's making me. I still say I don't need it!

[aaand back to Luke] That's fine, don't force yourself to do anything your not ready for. It's what the digimon are here for, right?

Yeah, I figure we all could probably use it, considering what's coming.
