[When the change hit, Ryudamon was relieved at first. For almost an hour, anyway. Ishimaru didn't say a word- and he was completely conscious, with other people around, without a book in his hands! It was peaceful, yes, but it didn't take long for the silence to become eerie, downright disturbing when he wouldn't answer when spoken to.
Time to take drastic measures. The screen switches on to show a distanced view of Ishimaru glaring directly into it, sitting on his bed. Ryudamon steps in from the side, gesturing at him.]
Everyone, this is my partner, Ishimaru. He's not like this. Something happened, I think. He's doing nothing. I mean, I thought he'd have to take a break from training and studying and everything sometime, but... look.
[He turns and waves.] Hey, good morning. [A pause.] Two plus two is five? [Still nothing. He faces the screen again with a tired look. It takes him a while to admit defeat, so they've been through this numerous times.]
What do I do about him? I don't know what to do.
[Finally, Ishimaru opens his mouth and responds in a quiet, flat tone.]
No shit, Sherlock.

No, she does not know sign language, so for all intents and purposes it looks like he's just even more angry.] Ooookay, I can see you're not in a good mood, I'll just...
What're you waiting for?
[...and slumps back down on the bed with a hiccup. He's made himself cry.]
N-no, i-it's fine, I'll stay here if you want, d-don't cry!
[...what?! He shakes his head violently.]
Are you saying things you don't mean...?
Took you long enough.
[He nods, frowning.]

[He springs up from his bed and walks back into view scrawling a few words on a notepad. He turns it towards the screen: another apology, though only intelligible if she can read Japanese.]

[That has to stop! He rips the sheet out and stuffs it in his mouth, then scrawls something else on the next page and hastily turns it to the screen. "I am sorry!"]
...Ryudamon, please make sure he doesn't get himself killed?
He's better, I think.
[Ishimaru nods again, mumbles something- it's unintelligible! success!- and flashes a smile full of notebook paper. Perhaps Terra has a point...]
But... hrm. Alright.
