 [Gear up kids, it's time for training!

Or rather, what Wheeljack defines as training. The feed opens up to show the apartment he's living in, and while everything seems peaceful and tranquil at first, until a lavender blur dashes past.  It looks like Wheeljack's Gazimon, dashing around with a little feather duster. She's...cleaning?  Interesting choice of hobby.

But the video seems to pan out slightly, probably from the duster, showing Wheeljack leaning against the kitchen counter, a bowl of cereal in his hand.  And a can of beer in the other.

Nice combination.]

Wheeljack, this isn't training!

Sure it is. Heard about it once.

Wax on, wax off.

[He even did the little hand motion.

You rolled her eyes, deciding that some 'training' was better than none, and continued.  Wheeljack, on the other hand, had taken a glance at his cereal (which was dry, what a smartie), and his beer can.  Slowly, the beer-hand lifted up as he poured it into the bowl, substituting the milk.

Convenience.]

Just like that.

[Perry brushes off the "boys" comment and proceeds to shrug at Wheeljack's question. You can laugh now but in the future when Perry is wiping the floor via his partner we'll see who's laughing.

Tapirmon adjusts his hat and just nods.]

It's about tactics, sir. Tactics and strategy can be very decisive in a battle, especially if odds are against us.

[We'll have to see, Perry. We'll just have to see. He turns to the Tapirmon though, but his attention goes back to the cereal.]

Yep. Wasn't in an army for the heck of it.

[So if you KNOW tactics, Wheeljack...why aren't you using them?]

[This is apparently news to the both of them. Perry's eyes widen slightly and even Bartholomew looks baffled.]

You were in the army?

[There's a smirk on his lips at he takes another bite of his cereal, looking up almost thoughtfully.]

Operated outside the normal chain of command though. Humans call em 'Black Ops'.

[Perry looks interested if not impressed by this news. He's not sure if he BELIEVES it mind you, but if it IS true then that is pretty impressive.]

What are Black Ops? [Bartholomew has never heard of it of course. He tilts his head back to look at Perry.] Is it like the secret organization you told me you wo---

[Perry winces and clamps a hand over Bartholomew's mouth. Now, now partner. He doesn't need you talking about OWCA or his secret agent status. He'd rather keep that as tight lipped as possible and doesn't need you blabbing it on the network. Bartholomew seems to get it and flushes slightly. He clears his throat and Perry removes his hand.]

My apologies. I guess that must mean you have a great deal of your own kind of skills, right?

[Wheeljack takes a moment to finish his bite, before setting the bowl on the counter. Leaning his hands back, he keeps looking up in thought, trying to find the best way to describe this to the Tapirmon.]

Ya know soldiers in the army, right? They operate under a Commander. Black Ops are a side team. They operate outside of that chain of command. Do their own thing. Basically, they take the jobs no one else in their right mind would.

[He falls silent after that, picking his bowl back up. You, however, picks up where he left off.]

He says he's a master in swords and grenades.

That sounds fairly dangerous...if even the army will not take the assignments.

[Perry perks up at the specialty. Swords and grenades are two ends to very different spectrum of weaponry. Plus a guy that uses explosives...seems hard to believe he'd want to use something archaic like a blade. Still, color Perry further impressed.]

Perry knows hand to hand combat. He's been trying to show me but it is rather difficult when you are a Tapirmon with little in the way of useful appendages. [He holds up his hooves for emphasis and he doesn't even have a tail or back legs, just smoke. It certainly had been causing Perry problems but he couldn't be sure that Tapirmon wouldn't evolve to something a little more battle ready.]

Takes a special type to be a Wrecker.

[He notices Perry perking up at that though, raising an eyebrow of his own. If only because Perry's interest...interests him. Obviously this guy knows more than what he lets on (okay he's silent but still) if he is impressed by it.]

Hand to hand, huh? Not bad, gettin' up close and personal. Wouldn't recommend it for you, though.

[He takes a bite of cereal thoughtfully.]

Don't know much about you Digithingies, but those tusks of yours look like they'd do in a pinch.

[Oh if only you knew the half of it. He figures hand to hand isn't too big a deal to let out. Although maybe he should be trying to stop nosing around because this is getting kinda close to home. Perry waves it off as if it's nothing. He'll leave out his own weapons experience.]

Very true. And I have a variety of attacks to rely on for battle. I suppose I am more of a ranged fighter if you get down to it.

[That gets a smile to split across Wheeljack's face. Congrats, Perry, you've got a robot's attention.]

...Say. What would ya say to some sparrin' sometime? You gets trainin', you get trainin'--

[Yeah, sorry, he doesn't realize how odd that sounds.]

Get some REAL action.

[Perry tilts his head in consideration, hand resting on his chin. It would be beneficial to have Bartholomew go up against some actual opponents for a change. There was only so much Perry could do with him after all. So, he nods and then looks to his partner to make sure it's okay with him.]

I think that would be very helpful. Yes, let's spar sometime.

[The news seems to make You pretty happy, as she hops up and down in place, claws practically clamped over her muzzle. More training, that wasn't cleaning!]

FINALLY! An actual challenge other than groceries and dusting!

[Perry can't help but smile at that. Well at least someone is happy with his proposal. Although he can't say he isn't happy either. He'd been running out of ideas for training for Bartholomew since they were very different in terms of fight expertise, ability, and tools at their disposal.]

[It seems to be the same for Wheeljack. Maybe all the bot needed was the right push--a challenge, so to speak. Training was boring if there wasn't anything to USE it on.]

Sounds like a plan, then.
