[ Zack has been in the city for about an hour or so, getting his bearings and talking to this... Digimon of his. It's all really weird and he obviously wasn't expecting this when he died, but hey... if the world needs saving, they should call on a hero, right?

He seems to be fiddling with the D-Terminal when the video feed turns on, stopping only when Dorumon speaks up, ]

Zack?

Huh? What's up?

You were going to ask the network something, weren't you?

Oh, yeah, of course! [ he smiles at the screen, only slightly less enthusiastic than he normally would be. He should have asked earlier, but he had to catch up with all of this digital nonsense first. Kind of threw him off his game, ] Hey there, my name is Zack and I have a couple questions. [ He holds up his index finger, ] First off, I'm looking for a guy named Cloud. Blonde spiky hair, about this tall [ moves his hand just at his shoulder for emphasis, ] wearing a uniform like mine. [ minus the bullet holes. ] And Cloud? If you can see this, give me a call. [ it's a longshot, but he may as well try. ]

Second question, I'm in apartment F2 002 I guess? [ He looks to Dorumon for confirmation, and the digimon nods, ] Anyone else shacking up there? We're probably gonna head over later to check it out.

Is that all?

[ Zack is silent for a moment as he tries to think, ] Pretty sure that's it for now, yeah. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated, though.

I'm sure they'll be waiting with bated breath.

I-- Hey! [ and the feed turns off. ]

Oh, that was fast. My Digimon Kamemon and I heard that you were in F2 002, that's where we are.

You too-- [ Once again, thrown off by the digimon. 2 for 2, ]

Uh... no? Should I be freaking out?

Please don't. [ NO ONE ASKED YOU OK DORUMON ]

Nah, just maing sure. The last thing I need is to deal with two guys who can;t keep themselves under control

And I think that you've said enough. [Shoves Kamemon out of the way] Sorry, he doesn't know how to keep his mouth shut.

[ Zack lifts his brows up, once again glancing to Dorumon to see if he knows what's up. Of course he doesn't answer. ]

Yeah, I don't think you have to worry about that. [ He's totally got things under control can't you tell? ] So your name's Donnie? Nice to meet you.

Well my full name is Donatello, but everyone calls me Donnie. It's nice to meet you too... ugh...

[Now might be a good time for an introduction]

Donnie it is, then. I'm Zack. [ a beat ] Oh, and this is Dorumon. Not really the talkative type, I guess.

That so? Kamemon has a big moth, so...

Yeah, yeah, you've said it a million time now.

[Under breath] And I thought my brothers were bad...

[ Another quirk of his brow, ] Brothers?

[Sheepish chuckle] Yeah, back in ym world I have three brothers. Two older ones named Leonardo and Raphael, and one younger brother named Michelangelo.

And he's a talking turtle in his world

[Glares at Kamemon] Can;t I ever explain something without you butting in?

Nope.

Big family? That sounds pretty nice--

[ wait.

wait what? ] Uh... a talking turtle?

Yeah... Long story... To make it simple, my brothers and I were normal turtles until the man who owned us got hit with a glowing liquid. he turned into a giant rat and my brothers and I became more human-like. Since everyone would be terrified of us, we hid in the sewers and the man, master Splinter, adopted my brothers and me as his sons.

[ Glowing liquid? Zack's mind immediately screams MAKO and MONSTERS, but he doesn't say anything, at least not yet. He does look slightly put off for all of half a second, though, while he thinks back to those monsters he saw in the reactor. ]

You had to hide away in the sewers? [ ouch. ] Man, I'm sorry.

Oh, it hasn't been all that bad. We found an abandoned subway station and we have electricity and everything. We've been living under there for fifteen years now, so we're used to it.

[ Maybe it's like the slums in Midgar? Yeah, sure, that's a way better mental image, Zack. ]

So is this the first time you've been on the surface, then?

No, a few months ago Master Splinter finally let us go see the surface. It led to us fighting alien robots and ninjas who all want to kill us now. But this is the first time I've been tot he surface for this long, and one of the few times get to come up during the day.

[ Wow that sure is something. ] Alien... robots? Should I even ask?

No, it's a really long story. To make it simple, they want to mutate everyone in my world and fill ti with poisonous gas so that they cna live there and we can't. It's... pretty bad.

[He just hoped that his brothers could handle it without him]

Sounds like it... [ he rubs the back of his head, not really sure what else to say. ] You know, maybe that's why you're here - maybe there's something that can help you out. We're meant to be saving the world, right? [ reaching, Zack. You're reaching. ]

Maybe... I didn't think of that possibility.

Yeah, you've been too obsessed with finding a way back to your world.

Thanks Kamemon... [Under breath] Why are all Digimon bratty?

Couldn't hurt to look. [ He smirks, glancing to Dorumon for a second, ] Who knows. Maybe we just got the cranky ones.

Yeah, I guess that's possible.

I'm not a brat!

[ He laughs. Dorumon snorts ]

You sure sound like one.

[ OHHH SICK BURN. ] Easy now. We're going to have to live with him.

What was that you-!

[Cover's Kamemon's mouth] Enough of that, we don't need any arguing right now.

[ Dorumon seems to have the decency to shut up and Zack just rolls his eyes. ]

Oh yeah, this is gonna be fun. [ sarcasm? only a little. ] So, Donnie. You meet our other roomie?
