[Action] Backtracked to before the event

[The screen has static before it cuts to the park. The screen shows Twilight Sparkle standing in an open spot, taking a deep breath before looking at the purple wings upon her back. She flapped the left one before stopping, doing the same with the right one. She released another breath.]

Okay, I can do this. Here I go...

[With that, she closed her eyes tightly and made some grunting noises, as if trying to concentrate. Her wings flap and she hovers off the air. When she feels her feet lift of the ground, she opens one eye, looking at her wing. She then opens the other one in joy.]

I... I did it! Kudamon, look! I can fly...agh!

[As soon as she started talking, her concentration was broken. Her wings promptly stopped, and of course gravity does it's job and Twilight falls back to the ground... head first into a mud puddle. She sits up, completely covered in mud. She wipes some off her face before sighing in irritation.]

Well you almost did it. Just a little more practice and you will be able to fly fully.

I hope so, this is the fifth mud puddle I've fallen into. [Sighs] I just need to keep practicing... after I get washed up.

[Jinx happened to be passing through with a bag slung over her shoulder when she spotted Twilight. The 7 year old girl inside her squealed once more at the reminder of a world full of magical unicorns, talking ponies and Pegasus. So she stopped to watch and was about to applaud the effort till Twilight fell into the mud. With a sigh she sauntered over and dug some napkins out of her bag]

The landings might be softer, but filthy. Have you considered practicing in a dryer part of the park? More grass less mud.

[Twilight hadn't noticed Jinx until she had spoken, causing her to turn to face her. She was still abit weary of her, knowing that she wasn't exactly a good guy. But then again, she hadn't seen Jinx do anything evil so far, and she didn't seem to want to hurt her. So she had no reason to fear her.]

I... guess I didn't notice the mud until I fell in. I should have though... [Wipes some mud out of her hair] Ah well, I managed to stay in the air for a few seconds longer this time.

Which is more then most of us can do. Being able to fly would give you an edge even without your magic.

With what little I learned if Rarity, I think she'd be giving you an earful about this mess though.

[At the mention of Rarity, Twilight's expression turned downcast as she turned her head away.]

Y-yeah, she would... except that she... well, she...

Unfortunately, Rarity appeared to have vanished sometime ago, and we also have not been able to contact Fluttershy. As you can tell, Twilight is very worried.

[what is this feeling Jinx is having? The urge to...comfort. She gently puts a hand on her should and gives it a reassuring squeeze]

That happens around here sometimes. One acting theory is they've slipped into a data stream and either been sent to some far corner of the digital world...or sent home. Other then searching the wilderness all you can do is trust in them to take care of themselves.

[this feels so unnatural for her. She's wondering if it's another glitch]

[Twilight had heard that theory form Fluttershy, but that didn't stop her form being worried. But she took a small breath and smiled.]

I guess your right. And Rarity is capable of handling herself, she'll be okay. Thanks Jinx, I feel a bit better now.

[thankful for the smile she releases The comforting hand and tries to look nonchalant.]

Yeah well, it's easier for someone like me not to worry about anyone but myself. And you did day they were the most important thing to you after all.

[Keeps wiping away mud when she notices Ed. Then she stops, and runs over.]

Ed! I... I heard about the Dark Zone. Are... are you okay?

[She had heard of what had happened, and she assumed that she may not have seen Fluttershy since her roommate had been one of the ones to go in. But she had been worried about the ones that went in once had learned of what could happen in there.]

Huh? Oh.. n-no, I'm fine. [At least, there's no bandages outside of what he can cover with clothes anymore--so as far as anyone needed to know he was back at 100%!]

I mean, it was scary and dark and kind of hurt but I guess I'm used to it at this point? You don't need to worry about me.

This was on the way home, and then I saw her flying and I just kinda had to look and suddenly OH MY GOD I BROKE THE EGGS!!

[Blushes and scratches the back of her muddy head] Yeah... I just got my wings before I got sent here. I... haven't gotten adjusted to them quite yet

AH! R-right..!

[The eggs can wait!!] Well... I'm sure you can get it down.. Or rather, you definitely will before too long if you work at it.

[She picked up Ed's fallen bags and handed them back to him]

I'm sorry about your eggs. If you want, I'll give you the money to buy some more. I have enough.

Oh, oh, you can fly too? Well, a little. I can't fly at all, still.

[Flandre flutters her wings at the screen for emphasis; spindly iron and seven-colored crystalline things strung out into winglike shapes that they are. Her wings might as well be aerodynamic black holes as far as physical flight is concerned.

It's like a rainbow. Of useless.]

Hmm? [Grabs her D-Terminal] Well... I can't fly well yet, but yes I can indeed fly. [Looks at the wings] Wow... your wings are really pretty.

They are, they are!

[Flandre giggles, and curls them around in front of herself to latch the two thumb-claws in the middle together.]

But I can just wave them around now, and climb things. And stand on the ends, but only for a bit because my back starts to hurt otherwise.

Really? Well I certainly can't use my wings to climb with or stand on the ends. That's still pretty impressive.

What kind of youkai are you? I'm a vampire! I won't eat you or anything, though, you're not in a teacup and I'm not thirty anyway.

[People seemed awfully concerned about the last part. Which was a perfectly logical concern to have! Even though it made no sense to Flandre. But she's naturally biased.]

[Twilight just smiles, it was kinda cute to see the little vampire excited.]

I don't know, when I came here it turned me into a human. It may be magic, but I'm not for sure. I do still have my horn and wings though, which is good.
