Tenth Goal - File Not Found. [Video/potential Action later.]
[Early in the morning, the feed clicks on, automatically. On it, is Cam, standing on the edge of a walkway, looking extremely distressed. He waits. He looks down, he steels himself...and he pulls back, quickly looking down as someone walks beneath it, completely unaware of his presence.
Again, he steals himself. Again, he prepares. He closes his eyes and pitches forward, landing hard on his left arm with a sickening crack. He wheezes in pain and tries to get his bearings. Someone rushes up to him, a young woman, a teacher--] "What happened? Is it your arm?" [He nods.] "I'll go get help." [She leaves, footsteps echoing. As she leaves, through his pain, Cam smiles.
Brief static. It picks up, in a hospital, with Cam, an older boy, and Maya, who some might recognize. Static flits through the conversation, until--] I'm not some loser who tries to hurt himself.
[The feed cuts.]
[ooc: The actual video can be reached by clicking the link in the cut, hitting "continue as free user," and jumping to 17:57 on the timestamp. It ends at 18:55. Warning for what you'd see, it's a kid intentionally falling from a high place to break his own arm. Short, not graphic, but unsettling to say the least. After the static, it picks up again at 20:48 and ends at 21:13 or so. The first scene is, under the cut, briefly detailed. The second is not as it has more dialogue, so it needs to be watched, and it is brief discussion of the previous injury with internalized ableism.
Last but not least Cam may or may not respond to people! This post can be used for action if they try to find him, hint he might be in his room.]

Grabbing Impmon by his neckerchief, he asks the imp if he recognizes this place. Unsurprisingly, Impmon shakes his head no. Before Seifer can try to piece together where the hell this place is—and he's not even sure why he's trying to figure out where it is, for that matter—Cam's already hit the floor. He knows logically that even if he knew where that walkway was, there's no way in hell he would have been able to do anything about it, but even so he feels this pang of guilt because dammit he's fond of this kid no matter how hard he tries not to be.
When the D-Terminal picks up the hospital scene, Seifer catches on that maybe, perhaps, this isn't something that's happening now. But that doesn't mean it hasn't happened, and so in an effort to figure out a) what the hell is going on and b) whether or not Cam really did crack his arm in half, he finally changes his D-Terminal to video mode. ]
Campbell.
[ Well, that's a great start. Hopefully the full first name name use won't scare him off, because he really doesn't want to go combing through the city to find this kid. He would, but Cam could just tell him and make it faster. ]

Did you see it?
[text]
What do you think? Are you OK?
[text]
[text]
[text]
[text]
And you're not going to share why you purposefully flung yourself off a ledge?
[ He knows it's a personal topic; that doesn't stop him from asking. Seifer doesn't want Cam to try it again. ]
[text]
'mmessed up. I thought it was the only way to deal. I won't do it again.[text]
[ He doesn't approve of either, but he feels he can sort of deal with one over the other. ]
[text]
Something like that.
[Does "finding a way to not play hockey so I can hopefully start feeling like a person again and not let everyone down" translate to get out of something? Maybe?]
[text]
Fine.
Looks like you'll be getting that long line of people ready to physically knock some sense into you.
[ ...It's probably better if they never see each other in person. Seifer has a very, very long memory.... ]
Re: [text]
[Not like he say what "it" is... Honestly it's all starting to grate on him, the fact that everyone knows about this now.]
[text]
I'm not going to sit down and be your armchair psychologist. I just don't want you getting hurt. It makes keeping you safe hard when you put yourself in danger. Who's going to give Impmon a steady supply of sweets if something happens to you?
[ Of course, he's just as bad as Squall is when dealing with serious situations like this. ]
[text]
Alright, I get it. I said before it won't happen again and it won't. I'm being careful.
[Honestly Seifer your care means a lot, Cam is also just pretty sure if he outright says it you'l deny it again. Whoops.]
[text]
[ And it's not like that place looked anything remotely like the city here, so it'd be stupid not to believe him. ]
But I honestly think you'd better be more than just "careful." I'm serious. If you so much as scrape your knee, I'll teach you the true meaning of discipline. So you better hope you don't develop a klutzy streak and that your partner does a good job of protecting you.
[ ...You know what, that was probably a little too strong.... ]
[text]
[Strong. Yeah, that was strong, that was a freaking neon sign that screams I CARE ABOUT YOUR SAFETY A LOT, but again Cam's just sort of going to go with it after balking at the message for a minute or two.
And possibly showing Maya.]I'm very good at keeping out of trouble when I want to. And when other people want me to. I'll have Lucette and Maya and a lot of others watching my back. I'll keep safe. You don't have to worry.
[text]
Right. I'm not worrying.
[ He's trying to imply that he won't be the one getting punched in the face if he gets a scratch. Trying. ]
You're still in the main housing unit, right? What's your room number? I'll drop something for you off later.
[text]
You don't have to.
but if you want to, I'm in room 2 on floor one. Lucette'll get the door.
[text]
[ He won't be knocking at the door. At least not for that. ]
I'll let you have your moment with your girlfriend today, so when I drop by it'll be tomorrow or the day after.
I'll surprise you.
[text]
How courteous.
Thanks.
