[Video][Memory Leak]
[After a mad bought of flickering, another video will appear on everyone's D-Terminals.
Another memory.
The first thing that can be seen is Hiccup, hunched low over the back of a jet black dragon, who's beating his wings hard to gain altitude. All around them the sky seems thick with smokey clouds, stifling and grey against the mountain that can be seen looming behind them.]
Okay Toothless, time to disappear.
[The dragon suddenly lifts his head and begins to pull into a steep climb, revealing an enormous dragon following behind them with its jaws open wide. Hiccup breathes in sharply as Toothless continues to climb, fighting against gravity to make it higher into the clouds.]
Cmon bud!
[He can be heard screaming above the sound of the roaring and thunderous wing beats of the dragon giving chase. Suddenly Toothless banks into a steep dive, seconds before the dragon blasts a terrible ball of flames into the clouds where they were just a moment ago. Suddenly the feed flickers, seeming to cut erratically as the dragon barrels forwards, losing the pair in the dense clouds. Out of nowhere a blue blast of energy shoots from the smoke, piercing one of the dragon's wings. Before it can attack Toothless and Hiccup are gone again, lost among the clouds.
The feed continues to flicker as again and again Toothless swoops in to blast the huge dragon, tearing holes into its wings to further disable and enrage it. Things seem to be going well, until suddenly the dragon begins firing blasts in random directions, trying to cut the smaller dragon down from the air.]
Watch out!!
[Just as the words leave Hiccup's mouth a stray blast clips Toothless' tail, badly damaging the prosthetic Hiccup made for him before. It's obvious now they won't be airborne for long. Hiccup shakes his head, tightening his grip on the saddle in front of him.]
Okay, time's up. Let's see if this works.
[On the viking's command Toothless pulls into another turn, until they're facing the dragon head on. All of a sudden Hiccup barks at the beast, Toothless growling as he speaks.]
Come on! Is that the best you can do!?
[That's all it takes to get the dragon to charge at them. Immediately the Night Fury banks into a steep dive, pumping his wings hard to keep out of the dragon's immediate line of fire. Even with the prosthetic rapidly disintegrating, Hiccup holds steady and braces himself as Toothless flies.]
Stay with me buddy. We're good. Just a little longer!
[He grits his teeth, lowering himself further.]
Hold, Toothless.
[The dragon opens it's maw wide, a loud hiss emanating from it, signalling that it's about to ignite and blast fire right at them.]
NOW!!!
[With all his might Hiccup slams both feet down on the pedals of his saddle, causing Toothless to pivot in midair and fly right at the dragon's open jaws. He blasts a burst of energy with a crackling boom that shoots straight down its throat, exploding within it's body as the gas it was about to ignite backfires within it. Suddenly the dragon begins to burn from the inside out, it's wings starting to disintegrate gruesomely. The dragon fans it's wings in an attempt to stop it's sudden careening towards the ground, but it's no use.
With a terrible explosion it hits the ground head first, bursting into a flaming fireball that follows Toothless and threatens to swallow him and his rider as he fights to fly above it. Hiccup frantically tries to change their direction, but the pedals suddenly go dead.
The tail has been ripped off.
They're both dead in the air, with no hope of getting out of the way of the dragon's flailing limbs as it dies.]
No. NO!
[The dragon's massive club-like tail clips Toothless hard, completely tearing Hiccup from his harness before sending him tumbling through the air towards the expanding fireball. He seems to be unconscious from the impact, helpless as he falls.
Toothless can be seen fighting to reach the viking, pumping his wings desperately in an attempt to reach him before the fire does.
The fireball swallows them both, and the feed flickers to static and cuts.]

[But Hiccup was here now. So he had made it...
...Right?]
What happened?
no subject
Well....if you were ever wondering how I got a metal rod for a leg...now you know.

[Fluttershy had been teaching him to be polite, so he wasn't gonna ask, but...]
...Did it hurt?
no subject
[He shrugs again, smiling weakly at Choco.]
It's hard to explain.
no subject
[He lets the idea sit for a moment.]
That was a really big dragon...
[Cue whimpering in the background.]

[Those dragons...He was gonna say 'they were just like him' but he'd rather not talk about himself. Besides, Leatherhead's concerned about Jiccup. Why does this keep happening to his friends?!]
Tell me you are okay...
no subject
I-I'm ok now big guy, don't worry. That was....that happened a while back. I don't really...
[He's not really understanding WHY that just happened. If there was a memo he didn't get one, but it didn't seem like the Digital World was ever predictable this way.]
Everything's fine.
no subject
It did not look fine...
no subject
[He glances down off-screen for a minute.]
The only thing I really lost out of that was a foot, so I'm pretty lucky.

It is too big a price to pay...

But still, Wheeljack's noticed all these moments from people's lives...and now Hiccup's. He hadn't asked before--after all, he had no reason to. But something had to have happened if the kid lost a leg...
He didn't know if this event was what caused it, but...the kid's tough. That's something a Wrecker would take on. And he can't help but somewhat swell in pride at Hiccup's bravery at something...that huge.]
...Kid. You sure you aren't a Wrecker?
no subject
[Whatever that is exactly. Though it sounds pretty cool, so he can't help but smile.]
Guess I should've probably told you this story a long time ago, but....well, this is easier than trying to tell it I guess.
[Not exactly like he WANTED this visibly broadcast, but hey there you go.]

Potential he just witnessed.]
Not bad for a blacksmith.
...
Sometimes things are best left unsaid, until ya see em for yourself, huh.
Either way, good job kid. You'd give your digithing a run for his money. Pretty fearless yourself.
no subject
[He's also glad Fearless wasn't around to hear that.]
Something tells me though the Digimon here are a lot more powerful than the Red Death that I had to face.
...Er.
...well....they're a lot harder to kill, at least.

You're really brave.
[Text]
Aw...I wouldn't say that. I just....did what I had to do. Couldn't let that dragon destroy my family and my home, you know?
[Text]
[Text]
Yep. Thanks to Toothless I didn't lose anything more than that.

That's really impressive! You fought really well... and everybody survived, right?

Re: [video]
Haha, I wish my memory had been something cool like that.... and that dragon, Toothless. He's your partner from home?
[What do you say about something like that? Hiccup fought almost like a solider; if she didn't know better, she'd almost be feeling...pride? What a strange feeling.
Well, all Arcee can manage at the moment is a rather surprised stare and a slow clap. She knew there was a reason why she liked him so much.]
You...you saw that, huh?
[Heck, she's going to keep a copy of it if she can.]
You might as well be a solider with those moves, kiddo.
[Vikings are a warrior-like people in their own right, but Hiccup? Not so much. Just didn't have enough weight to throw around to really get the job done if he needed to. That's where if Toothless wasn't there he most likely would have died.]
I doubt I'd be able to do that a second time, if I had to.
