Platypost 04 [video/montage]

[perrytheperson]

[The screen is fuzzy for a moment before it fades out and is replaced by a man with a monobrow and large nose. He looks rather gruff and has a voice to match. However, instead of addressing the screen he glances off camera.]
Carl. Are we sure this is the right time for this? I thought we already did a clip show flashback episode.

[Carl, who cannot be seen, responds with a nasally voice from off screen]
Sorry, sir, but this was special ordered. We’re supposed to be reviewing some important plot points in Agent’s P’s career.

[The monobrowed figure head frowns.]
Don’t we usually reserve those for award shows?

[Carl emphasizes his point, still off screen.]
Special ordered, sir.

[The man on screen sighs and gives in.]
I see. Well, roll the footage then Carl. I hope this is better edited than your Christmas montage.

I made a very nice arrangement this time, sir.

[The screen fades out. The footage begins. Either there is a random musical montage about a platypus who is also a secret agent…or someone hasn’t been completely honest about their background.]

[Perry is nowhere to be seen for the moment. Apparently he hasn't noticed the memory yet or he has left Bartholomew to do damage control. At the moment we're not sure which is better or worse.

Oh...so you know what that is?

Oh, I've heard of them! But I've never actually gotten to see one before!

[Though she thought they looked a little different...oh well.]

I hadn't either...although Perry's actually a pretty good artist and he drew me a picture when he first came and explained everything to me. I was trying to keep it a secret for him.

Oh...but why would he want to keep something like that a secret?

[Wheeljack just stares at the feed. Granted, this is points for Perry rather than against him. For one, he has no idea what a platypus is--only that they're four legged and apparently do missions. Works for him, he's not judging.

Second, this would explain the being-unable-to-talk thing. Apparently Platypus don't.

Still, works for him.]

So...not a human.

[Bartholomew is on screen. Either Perry isn't around and hasn't seen the whole "leaked memory" thing or he's just having Bartholomew screen replies for the moment.

To be fair, the last time Perry's secret was blown he had to deal with some backlash.]

Yeah...he...wasn't quite sure how to explain it before. The whole missions and agent stuff is kind of a big secret where he's from apparently.

[Wheeljack won't question it in the slightest--if Perry had to keep it secret, it was obviously for a good reason. And besides, it's not like secret identities were totally lost on Cybertronians.

Who had to alter their whole bodies to hide on a planet.]

Can't really blame him. Guess the walkin'-and-talkin' part is kinda a secret too.

[Bartholomew nods.]

He stays with a family and they're supposed to be his cover.

[There's a cough from off screen and Bartholomew looks over before his eyes go wide and he turns back and adds.]

Not that they're just a cover to him. He actually really cares about them. But, if they found out, it's apparently part of the secret agent rule book that he'd have to move away and never see the family again. It's really kinda sad.

I got a couple'a friends who do that too. We gotta apparently disguise ourselves on that rock back home.

A super-secret platypus agent? [Ryan seems more amused than anything. In the background, soft and slightly static-y like it's coming through a broken radio, is a song.] That's a new one.

[Instead of Perry you get his partner, Bartholomew the Tapirmon.]

Pretty much. Emphasis on the secret part. And I was doing so well at keeping it too.

This place has a way of ripping secrets from you. [The tone is serious, something of a rarity for Ryan, but then he's back to his normal amused.] At least Perry's secret is more comedic than anything. It could always be worse.

[perrytheperson]

True enough. I've seen some of the pretty bad ones popping up on here. At least Perry gets a musical montage...that was neat.

[Um, how does he say this since he has no idea what a platypus is.]

Man, that's the most digimon-lookin' non digimon I ever saw.

[We're sorry the platypus you are trying to reach is currently banging his head against a wall because his secret can apparently just be broadcast to the four corners of the digital world after all his hard work of keeping it a secret.

OH WELL. Bartholomew is standing by to answer. He doesn't comment on the missing Perry who is not on screen.]

Yeah, pretty much.

Huh...I never thought about it like that. I suppose a platypus is about as weird looking as some digimon around here.

[Aww poor Perry...Leatherhead understands wanting to keep his identity under wraps. In a way, it's a relief to Leatherhead.]

Yeah cause you've SEEN weirder.

Hey! Perry. I think you're over reacting right now. Besides, little late to worry about the secret being out.

[Bartholomew is talking to somewhere off screen. A few seconds later the green haired man is on camera. He looks a little self conscious, but is attempting to hide it. He can't seem to stop fiddling with his scarf though.]

So you say you've seen weirder then?

...I'll be honest, this still isn't the oddest thing I've heard of.

Yeah, I mean, we have all kinds here in the Digital World.

[Arcee had to walk away from that one because that's a whole lot of wat, but Sprocket seems particularly interested in calling this one out.]

I knew it! I knew he was a penguin!

He is not a penguin! Perry is a platypus. It even says it in three of the songs.

[Bartholomew gets bopped on the head by a paper airplane. He plucks it out of his hat and unfolds it. He blinks and looks off screen. Apparently Perry is passing notes now? Bartholomew shrugs and holds it to the screen.

There is no an illustration of a cartoon penguin next to a "does not equal" sign and then another illustration of a platypus.]

The song could always be wrong.

[He seems pretty dead set that he's a penguin, illustration or not. He's either teasing or just stubborn in the worst ways.

Arcee can just barely be heard in the background.]

I can't believe I was fighting with an animal.

[OWCA spends good money on those agent songs so he really hopes not. Besides, Perry knows he's a platypus and Phineas and Ferb know he is a platypus, so he supposes that is all that matters really.

Perry rubs at his neck when he over hears Arcee. Little harsh there or maybe he's just misunderstanding. Either way he got to fight with a giant robot so that was new for him. Of course, in both cases they were technically humans so he wasn't sure how that mattered much.]
