*Dante is strangely absent from this video, but Coronamon appears to be sitting on the floor next to a bed. His tail is curled onto his lap and he seems to have been crying. In fact, he still hasn't gotten his sobs fully under control by the time he starts recording.*

Since...since a lot of you know Dante and are friends with him... *Sniff.* I should probably tell you. He's- *Gulp.* He's de- *Choke.* he's gone. It was...I think it was an accident, but... *Sniffle.* Humans don't turn into eggs, do they?

[ Crying Coronamon has alerted Squall's full attention and he quickly turns on his own feed. ]

Coronamon. What happened?

Dante, he...he and his brother were fighting. He said it wasn't for real, but they were using real weapons and...they weren't being careful. Dante didn't dodge in time, and...

*Nope, that's all you're going to get out of him as far as this story goes. He's back to sobbing.*

Uhhhhh Dante. Right. Which one was Dante?

[Because Coronamon looks familiar, but the name isn't ringing any bells.]

[He says. There then follows a long silence before his eyes go wide.]

*Several hours later, the hole in Dante's torso vanishes and he coughs loudly. Instinctively, one hand goes to his chest, where a familiar weight has been nagging with its absence. His amulet is gone, where-oh, that's right. Vergil has it. Vergil has...the perfect amulet. Which means...*

Shit...

*His voice is a bit hoarse and he groans as he sits up, looking around the room.*

[ it could mean a lot of things. the most obvious one is likely what Dante is concerned with. Vergil, however, is keeping an open mind to other options. he doesn't really care for the alternative.

as silly as it sounds, he hasn't exactly left that room either. it's not as if he had ever really meant to kill Dante - incapacitating through multiple stabs wounds notwithstanding. the fact that Vergil had believed that he had done such a thing had left him in a little bit of shock. he had always known Dante had been alive somewhere out there while growing up. never had he been alone.

foolish to think that he could banish and sever all ties. he had already proven that by rejecting Dante's offer while falling further into the demon world. hence the annoying reality that Vergil does not like the idea of his brother dying. especially not by his hand.

he owes him this much, at least. staying close by until something can be arranged. sadly, though, the older brother had taken to a corner in Dante's room. settling in, he's half drifted off as he brother stirs. ]

[With Coronamon still in his arms, Squall had found himself leaning against the wall in Dante's room. It didn't seem right to him that humans could die in this world. They were all changed to become similar data to the Digimon right? So... how is it they couldn't technically die but other beings could? No it didn't sit right with him at all. He stood there in silence as he gently tried comforting Coronamon.

His head lifted when he heard the noise coming from the direction of the bed. Was that....? ]

[ The screen of the D-T spins briefly in an end-over-end tumble before clattering to the floor and landing on its side, giving a full view of Roze sprawled across teh floor of her apartment, Kotemon's arms wrapped around her legs. He drags her back away from the door and out of view of the screen where a moment late several distinct and painful cracking sounds are heard. Roze cries out and curses colorfully while kotemon appears and picks up the D-Terminal. ]

Do not worry, Coronamon. I am sure your Chosen's data will be reconfigured safely. Until them I will try to keep Lady Roze here.

YOU HIT ME IN THE FACE! WHAT THE HELL?!

Please tend to Lord Dante in her absence and if you would be so kind, have him call her when he can.

[ Kotemon flicks off the D-Terminal just as Roze comes back into view with several red lines from a practive sword across her face, hand reaching for Kotemon.]

I-I'm pretty sure h-he didn't do it on purpose.

[ Flips open the D-T, looking over his shoulder before eyeing Coronamon. ]

Try not to make too much noise about it. She's tearing up her room right now and talking about "breaking orbitals" or something until someone looks like a squid. I think she's talking about Lord Vergil. I can't tell though because she started yelling until she was slurring.

I had to beat her back from the door again so she's in the bathroom cleaning her face and fixing her hair. Vanity...I swear.

Like I said, when things get sorted out, if you would kindly direct Lord Dante to the terminal that would be greatly appreciated. And give my regards to Lord Vergil.

[ She's not stupid, she knows what the question he's asking really means but she can't really bring herself to say it. It's not even like they were dealing with Digimon attacks right now so why!? ]

*After everything that just happened, Dante really wants to just tell people he's okay, get a shower and collapse to unwind. But before that, he gets the feeling he's going to have to have a talk with his brother. But of course the jerk's already left the apartment. It would make things too easy to stick around.

After a bit of poking around, he finds out that Vergil's room is in the most unexpected place ever. Namely, right next door to his. He's not sure whether to laugh at that or facepalm, but he just settles for knocking on the door.*
