[Donnie had had a very rough week. The first day of the dark incident, his partner was killed by Fearless, Hiccup's partner. He had spent the next few days hiding in his apartment, only going out on occasion. He also left today for work, but that was it. He wasn't willing to be seen right now, he just wasn't up for it.

Still, he did have people who did need to know that he was mostly okay. Plus he was planning on leaving soon, so he supposed that he should tell everyone. But he felt better using the audio feed.]

Umm... hi guys. Sorry to bother anyone, but I just want to tell my friends that... I'm going to be leaving in about a day or two. I need to Primary Village to fetch my Digiegg. I just wanted to let you know so that anyone who went looking for me wouldn't be worried.

[He almost said 'as if anyone would anyways', but he resisted.]

You saved us from That giant rock man, and because of it we got out and were able to plan better for when we did it again. But we almost... Leo almost died twice during it. And we still could have been killed that time. You did save us, but it could have ended up worst than that...

[With Kamemon dead, Donnie needed to have some kind of assurance that his brother wouldn't suffer the same fate. He needed to know that he would be safe, even from him. And LH was the best chance that he had of knowing that his little brother's safety would be assured.]

[At first Leatherhead felt confused why Donatello would disregard his own safety. He was a friend of Leatherhead, at least he considered him a friend. But a promise was a promise.]

I promise...he will be safe.

[Some tension seemed to fade from the teenager once he heard this. He let out a relieved sigh and smiled gratefully.]

Thank you. I know that he'll be safe with you.

I know. I know that he's safe with you. Just... please don;t let plaything hurt him. And... if something bad happens and I end up trying to hurt him, then please do whatever it takes to stop me.

[LH may find it strange for Donnie to ask this. But Donnie remembered that he did hurt Mikey one time. It wasn't of his own free will, it was the mutant wasp controlling him, but even then he knew that forces beyond his control could make him do the unthinkable.

So he needed to know that Mikey would be safe. Even from him.]

[He finds it strange since Leatherhead is probably the last guy he'd expect Donnie to trust.]
