[The feed clicks on to show the D-terminal in a dim room, and from a pretty funny angle. Lopmon's not on camera, but he's trying to shove it into Kovu's hands, and Kovu's shoving it right back, trying to keep himself off the camera too.]

C'mon Kovu, there are people worried about you! Say something!

Why would they be worried when they're all mad at me?!

How do you even know they're mad at you? You wouldn't let any of them talk! They'd only be mad at you 'cause you haven't talked to any of them for so long!

[Kovu suddenly rushes forward, his jaw and goatee now framed in the upper portion of the screen. His snarl can only be partly seen, but it's perfectly visible.]

All right, smart guy, how do you know?!

[Lopmon stumbles back, and the D-terminal falls to the floor.]

You turned it on?!

...Yes. I stayed hidden and Veemon attacked, a few quick strategic strikes. [She smiles.] We weren't very useful, but I was able to put my Clan training to work! I guess I would've been a goo mentor.

I had hoped......at least it kept you safe. The sun went out back home once, and it was...chaos...

Kovu. Why do you think everyone's mad at you?

[Kovu's breath catches. He's silent for a few seconds, before he slowly exhales.]

How do you think everyone acted toward me back home, knowing who I was? I didn't have any friends except for Kiara. If anyone even listened to me it was only because they had to, so I never learned how to talk to anyone. And I ended up either yelling at you guys, or just leaving in the middle of everything. Why wouldn't you all be mad at me?

...Because we're friends...aren't we? No one can be...happy, all the time, I've learned that living with such a big group of cats.

You said it, knowing who you are...why would I be mad at you?

[His voice barely hits above a whisper. How could she forgive him because of who he is? Isn't that just more of a reason to keep him away?]

...Your life was rough. It takes time to get through all that. You're my friend. It's simple, right?

But nothing. I warn you, I grew up with two of the stubbornest cats in the whole world, I've learned to stand my ground.

[Lopmon has leaned in front of the camera, and pounds one fist into his hand. Kovu, though, can't think of anything to say.]

I think it's going to take a long time for him to understand, isn't it?

[Lopmon grabs Kovu into something of a headlock, prompting a "Hey!" from him.]

Hear that, Kovu? You don't have a choice! Hah!

[Kovu doesn't seem quite so upset now as he yanks Lopmon off. The Digimon just snickers.]
