[The feed clicks on to show the D-terminal in a dim room, and from a pretty funny angle. Lopmon's not on camera, but he's trying to shove it into Kovu's hands, and Kovu's shoving it right back, trying to keep himself off the camera too.]

C'mon Kovu, there are people worried about you! Say something!

Why would they be worried when they're all mad at me?!

How do you even know they're mad at you? You wouldn't let any of them talk! They'd only be mad at you 'cause you haven't talked to any of them for so long!

[Kovu suddenly rushes forward, his jaw and goatee now framed in the upper portion of the screen. His snarl can only be partly seen, but it's perfectly visible.]

All right, smart guy, how do you know?!

[Lopmon stumbles back, and the D-terminal falls to the floor.]

You turned it on?!

You're right... it is pretty weird how much alike we are.

[Kovu shakes his head.]

Maybe lions and humans aren't that different.

Both seem to be the top of their own food chain.

And both can mess up their kids.

Mess them up big time.

[Kovu sighs.]

You're the second one like me I've met here, though you're a lot closer than that cat girl. Does this stuff just happen everywhere?

I guess the only thing we can do is focus on other things... crappy beginnings are crappy beginnings but it doesn't mean you can't make them better. or something like that...
